These are technically two separate issues, but both pertain to functionality of the mouse and keyboard. Whenever I right click to bring up the menu, the options (despite being functional) do not appear in the menu proper. Instead there are just empty buttons. In addition, certain hotkeys aren't working at all. Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to copy paste are doing fine, but Ctrl-T and Ctrl-W to open and close tabs respectively do nothing. Neither of these issues were happening yesterday.

When I compose a message in my word programme (Softmaker or Libre), save it in Docx format and copy/paste it into Thunderbird to send it everything is double spaced and nothing I do in the "compose" menu can change that.

I have tried it with "Use Paragraph Format" checked and unchecked and it stays doule spaced and nothing I can find in previous threads seems to address this problem.

What am I missing?

Every time I click away to a different program, it closes my private browsing window. It automatically closes and I cannot find a relevant setting. Only happens in private browsing.

When I open an email messages in message pane the window is really small. I resize the window, using ctrl+ scroll, but next time when I open thunderbird goes back to being the same small size again. How do I get Thunderbird to persist the messages size that I would prefer?

I have created a filter from a recently received message via pop. The settings are: OK Manually Run OK Getting New Mail: Filter before Junk Classification

Match all of the following From Contains xyz.co.uk

Perform these actions: Move message to XYZ on my mailbox

Press OK

In the Message Filters window, Run selected filter(s) on: XYZ Press Run Now

There is no response, and all the messages remain in the Inbox.

I have repeated the Run Now process on an old filter (by moving the message back to the inbox), and that works fine.

The only oddity of the current message is that it is a no-reply message eg From = no-reply@xyz.co.uk

This is the second email I am sending to get help.

I selected my composing font type and color in setting. When I start to compose an email, the font type and text color are shown as I selected. However, as soon as I start typing the text, the color goes to default (black).

I had to reinstall Thunderbird to fix a problem. When I downloaded the install, I donated. After installing, I have a "Welcome to Freedom" banner on my Tbird app. Please tell me how to remove it.

When clicking any hot link in an email, whether FB or a web retailer email, etc. this message pops up: "This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app, or if one is already installed, create and association in the Default App Settings page."

How do I turn off the “suggest AI summary” thing? The popup is annoying the hell out of me while I’m reading articles. I’m not going to use the AI summary feature so I’d like it to just stop. I use the Firefox application on iOS.

I have missing buttons or shortcuts in my Thunderbird. There was a refresh button and a new message button on my tool bar, they have disappeared. Is there a way to get them back? Thank you!

Amazon just sent me an email an animated GIF at the top of it. As a result, whenever it's in the preview pane, it's constantly swapping colors and making a visual nuisance of itself. All morning, it's been blinking at me. Is there any way to shut off animations in the preview pane? I almost never want to see an animated gif in an email, but I definitely never want it dancing around in the preview pane.

I wish there was a setting to not have the page refresh every time you go into another app and then come back into this one, it's impossible to multitask and extremely frustrating. It seems to happen on most pages I visit, even YouTube. Especially on pages with forms. It makes moving around on your phone to get info for forms impossible, and it's also just frustrating when you go to answer a text, come back and your progress on a video or form or shopping search has reset and started over, taking you back to the top. Is that sort of thing dependent on the website, or the browser?

Hi, is there a way to get Thunderbird to move to the tray when I press the X button in the top right corner?

I've tried enabling "When Thunderbird is minimized, move it to the tray" but that just changes what the minimize button does. When I press X, Thunderbird still quits.

I've done some googling and I found this extension: https://services.addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/minimize-on-close/

The problem with it is:

1. It doesn't seem to work with modern versions of Thunderbird
2. It lets you either minimize the window or move it to the tray, but not both (X and minimize do the same thing)

Can I get Thunderbird to close to tray only when I press X? So that the minimize button still works normally? Thanks

I am uncomfortable with the push for unnecessary ai content and features on firefox and if they are added without easy ways to remove or disable I will be switching to a different browser
