I'm on the latest version of Firefox, and it's unable to play videos on Amazon.com & Netflix.com. Neither did the one before 96.0. I first saw this on Netflix.com and when the tech started asking questions about my operating system, I knew they had pulled a fast one. Now Amazon.com has done the same thing with Firefox. This browser should be hiding the underlying operating system, because it's not necessary. I can use both websites with Chrome and have no issue. The same version of Firefox is on my laptop, but it has no problems because that thing is on Windows 10.

I won't bother with all the nonsense written about troubleshooting, because this is strictly the functionality of those websites peeking under the browser to check the O.S. Firefox needs to fix this hole immediately! You're messing with my money now. Monopolies shouldn't be able to control our hardware like this; they're not paying for any of it.

Oh, my TV is having a problem with the apps, so I was forced to watch videos with my computer instead. My laptop screen is too small and can't have my booming speakers connected to it. My desktop monitor is 34".

Just upgraded to version 96. Even thought FF ends normally at startup I get message about if I want to restore sessions. I have tried setting max_resume option to 0. Still ask to restore session. How do I "downgrade" to a previous version of FF?

I want to move TB from a win 7 machine on the C: drive to a win10 machine on the E: drive. I downloaded a fresh copy of TB to the win 10 machine and installed it in the D: drive. Completed set up and can send/receive emails. I copy/paste the profiles folders using a usb stick, putting it in the same folder on the D: drive as TB. However, TB doesn't see it. In Troubleshooting help, Environment variables, it clearly shows the roaming folder as C:, while the program is clearly D:. What have I done wrong and how do I correct it please? A msg. suddenly appeared at the top of my ff general settings page saying "your organization is managing your browser". Upon clicking on it it appears that Chrome has taken over most of my ff settings and disabled some of them. I have NO organization; I am retired and have a personal computer that only I use for personal things. I have run numerous anti malware programs that have found nothing. I have restored the computer to a much earlier time. I chose Firefox, NOT Chrome. Please help me get rid of this. And please don't assume I have knowledge as I am old and not very computer literate so if you could use simple terms I can understand that would be much appreciated. If no help, what can I do next to get some. Thank you I am using Windows 7 home premium on an older Dell business machine.

Hello. I don't know which Firefox release broke this essential feature. The problem started after I enabled Aero in my Windows 7 system. It happens often if I have an open tab with https://www.o2tv.cz/ which uses some DRM to play TV content.

Hi, I have spent hours this morning trying to diagnose a problem with Firefox Update 115. It is Unstable and I can't Stream Music from Youtube or even Amazon Music. Web pages from sites I use everyday are out of order when displaying text as well. It's a real mess. Now, here's the kicker, I haven't been able to stream my music from both aforementioned websites, but get this, if I use the Incognito Browser, Music streams No Problem. Seems like you guys broke something in the main FF browser. I have spent hours trying to debug this and have concluded that your most recent Update has broken streaming links. I can't rollback the Update and that is even more frustrating. Please Fix This. BTW, your Help Pages really stink. Sorry, but they offer no help when the problem is clearly FF. I have had a few websites not work properly with Firefox and have needed to open my backup browser (Avast Secure Browser) to use those websites.

Right now it is FedEx that comes to mind again as I kept checking for tracking of packages shipped to me since receiving the tracking info. I queries consistently returned the error message "Unfortunately we are unable to retrieve your tracking results at this time. Please try again later."

Thinking maybe the website was having issues or maintenance (and forgetting I had the same issue with FedEx website the last time I tried tracking there in Firefox), I kept "trying again later".

Then I opened my Avast browser and pasted the same url there and, sure enough, received this report on the display:

I have tried disabling the extension NoScript as well as turning off the "Enhanced tracking protection" and allowing permissions for the FedEx site with no improvement.

I copied and pasted the RAW data as well as the text version from the "about:support" page to send you.

Any suggestions to fix this?

I was upgraded to 101.0 last night, now firefox only displays blank white screens. No other updates to the computer happened (windows10).

How can this be fixed? thx ,-m

I have noticed for awhile now that when I load my Firefox homepage its keeps taking longer, certainly longer than it used to take. Also, when I load a You-tube video it takes about a minute for things to work properly. The video and audio are erratic and skipping and simply disjointed for about the first minute, but then after that period of time the You-tube video runs OK, both audio and video. Something seems to be causing those problems recently that I didn't have previously. The problem seems to just keep getting worse also. I would appreciate any input and suggestions that may help the problem. Thank you.

When using the right click menu on a PDF item in the Download Library (Ctrl+J) option Open In XYZ PDF viewer opens the pdf in chrome!!! option [selecting] Always Open In XYZ PDF viewer opens the file in chrome!!! option [deselecting] Always Open In XYZ PDF viewer opens the file in FF!!!

Double clicking on a PDF item in the Download Library (Ctrl+J) also opens the file in chrome!!!

This is totally wrong, please fix it asap. Thx

I am a Firefox user for 5 years now and never had such bad experience before. Since 2022 February 8 my Firefox application keeps crashing all the time. The browser opens and I can open webpages as well, but shortly after opening the websites, most of the pages result in Firefoxing crashing. I have latest version of Firefox and I have checked in safe / troubleshooting mode as well, but it did not help, Firefox still crashes. I have submitted a lot of crash reports in the last two days, the latest one has this ID: bp-94f69edd-95cb-40e3-84de-33cb20220210.

Please let me know what to do, as currently I cannot use Firefox and without a fix I have change to another web browser. Please also note that the same webpages that crash under Firefox work without errors in other browsers.

Since one of the recent Firefox updates, this code does no longer work. Maybe because there is a new element in the tab bar: A drop-down list at the right.

Any idea how to make the above code work again?

The option "always open similar files" is not shown in the downloaded file context menu. This occurs on 2 machines running Windows 7 64 bit. A third machine also running Windows 7 64 bit shows it correctly. All three machines have Firefox 98.0.1 installed.

Please advise how to resolve this.

I cannot turn on the audio input and the audio output in Discord web application when running Firefox for desktop PC. The advice from Mozilla Support knowledge base regarding how to enable microphone did not help, since there is always no access request from discord.com detected in "Preferences" -> "Privacy & Security" -> "Permissions".

I am using the latest version of Firefox (94.0.1) on Windows 7 SP 1 and Windows 10 20H2. In Discord Support knowledge base the app is claimed to support Firefox version 80+.

Is there any way of making sure it works consistently? I need to right click then click "Open Link in New Tab" to have it work reliably. Maybe something in about:config? Using latest Win7 64 bit Firefox. I've noticed this for probably 2 years now at least. Not sure if it ever worked 100%.

Hello, I would like to know how to remove 'other bookmarks' folder from the right side of bookmark toolbar that showed up suddenly on my browser, it's right after the arrows to show more bookmarks. I can't seem to find a way to delete this.

On my machine (windows 7 x86 - AMD HD 6670) hardware acceleration for video seems to be disfunctional since Firefox 109. Im using Firefox Portable Version. with Firefox 108.0.2 GPU acceleration for Video was still working. after upgrading to 109 - with the same profile data, addons, settings, drivers etc. - it is not working anymore.

With Firefox 108.0.2 and ESR 102.8 playback of the above video is accelerated by GPU on my machine. Since Firefox 109 and following versions it is not...

Because i did not changed any configuration before updating to 109 it is obvious that 109 and the following versions do not support video acceleration in my environment anymore. but why..?

Hello! Since a month I have a strange problem - Firefox wont connect to any Google service - REcaptcha, google-analytics. Any site that uses these services would not load, or loads and waits until connection expires. I tried refreshing Firefox, the uninstalling and re-installing - the problem remains. I do not use any proxy or firewall on my computer. Opera and other browsers do not have this problem. Please, advice.

I am trying to find out what is causing the issue and how to get rid of it.

 I can't be sure but it may be caused by a Microsoft "START" App.  The issue appeared

to begin about two weeks ago, so it's obviously caused by something new, which may be Microsoft related. Below is Dropbox link to a screen capture of the issue.
