I thought I had successful auto install W-10 but when I open to send 1st message the"+ new message" button is not active/working. Per article this is how to start. Thanks for help.

I have deleted Thunderbird and the associated profile folder. Downloaded Thunderbird from the Mozilla site but it still installs with old information. I'm trying to get the info from an old computer onto a new one but following the directions to do this still doesn't give me the info from the old computer. Not tremendously tech savvy so would hope to get clear directions on what I may be doing wrong and how to fix it? Gone through what I can find here but nothing has helped. Windows 11 OS on both computers.

I'm running Thunderbird Beta email on two Windows 11 computers, one I7 one I5. The former I notice reports a 32 bit version the smaller machine (latest) a 64bit version.

I wish to know how to update the 32bit to 64bit. Is it a simple matter or likely to lead to a corrupt installation. Perhaps I shouldn't be concerned but now have become aware of the two different versions. Both machines are active with my own accounts as the I5 serves as a backup computer.

I welcome you're advice. (I don't recall being offered a 64 bit version when I installed on the I7 some 6 months ago. Perhaps it wasn't available?)

What is the latest version of Thunderbird ESR for Mac OS 10.13?

Firefox ESR 115 for has been extended for High Sierra and I was wondering if Thunderbird ESR will do the same.

I have a 2011 iMac that is MAXED out at High Sierra so I can't use the current ESR version as it requires MacOS 10.15 Catalina.

I using Win 10 and Thunderbird update 140.

I am unable to download or open messages, except those in folders. Seems to be file access or network errors, although my internet connection is fine and Thunderbird shows I am online. Problem happened after I did an Inbox repair. I have thousands of old messages and wondering if that is the problem.

It stopped downloading messages after about 5000, the latest in my Inbox being from 2020--but when I click on one it says "loading" email (or content), but it never loads, is just blank.

Is it safe or advisable to uninstall and reinstall Thunderbird? Will it pick up my old profile, settings, folders, etc? Or will I have to reconfigure everything?

My mail is stored on Comcast and I have at least 25,000 emails.

I would like to delete Thunderbird completely from my accout and then re-install fresh. However none of the answers I have found tell me where to start to delete it from my profile.

The online info is inaccurate as it pre-supposes a certain knowledge as to what is to be found where. I cannot follow that.

I noticed when I went to check for updates the Fire Fox Browser is, Windows MSIX Package Mozilla, MSIX 1.0 143.0.1 (64 bit). What is this and why? Do I need to uninstall this version of Fire Fox and reinstall a new one? If so, how do I do that without loosing all my data. Thanks for your help!

I've started having an issue in the last few days, with apparently two separate Firefox installs. A few days ago I was greeted by a fresh, blank install of Firefox and had to set everything up and sign in as I usually would on a fresh system install. Today, however, I somehow managed to launch both of them at once (I don't know how, as I just use the UI shortcut). After closing both fully, I can now only start the "old" one via the shortcut.

OS: Bluefin / Fedora 42.20, Gnome 48.6

According to the list of flatpaks, only one is installed. Unfortunately that's roughly where my knowledge of Linux ends, so I can't troubleshoot this further. Help will be apprecciated, as I don't want to roll a die on which of these will start up every time I reboot.

Questions about Thunderbird. For several years I have been successfully using Thunderbird on my desktop computer, using Microsoft and Windows 10. I have been notified that Windows 10 will no longer be maintained by Microsoft after 30 Sept 2025, and users are being encouraged to move to Windows 11, which is mainly designed for computer games, and requires a larger computer than my existing one. I am not interested in computer games, and do not wish to purchase a new computer, when my existing computer is more than adequate for my needs. This raises several questions. Is it possible that I will be able to continue using Thunderbird with Microsoft and Windows 10, even though Windows 10 will not be revised? Is it possible for the same Thunderbird software to be driven by software other than Microsoft and Windows 10? If so, which software?

1 Can I install Thunderbird on Mac OS Mojave 10.14 and if so, do I need a particular version?

2 Can I have all my other email accounts centralised in Thunderbird. including Gmail accounts?

Just bought a Chromebook and was surprised to find that only the phone version of Firefox is available for use on Chrome laptops. Any timeline for a laptop version of Firefox for Chrome?

I think when Mozilla was formed, it received all the assets of the former Netscape Communications corp, yes?

I tinker with some VMs running vintage OSes, including DOS+Win 3.1, and Linux distro releases from the 90's and early 2000's. I'd like to, for example install Netscape 1.x or 2.x on Win 3.1 and Debian Hamm 2.0.

I am wondering if Mozilla has a download archive somewhere with historic releases like Netscape 1.x through 4.x for all platform for which builds were originally released?
