I can't seem to locate how to activate the microphone in the AI sidebar. I have Gemini selected, and when I hit the microphone to dictate I get the following message.. Unable to access the microphone. Please check settings.

I looked through Firefox settings and my laptop's but I don't see where it is turned off or asking for activation.'

I use the email address [email 2 removed]@interia.pl. The account is configured in Thunderbird on a Lenovo laptop. The laptop is protected by ESET Smart Security antivirus software. As recommended by Eset, I added ESET VPN to my protection. After enabling ESET VPN, the address doesn't configure. It requests a password. I receive messages that the server is disconnecting. Other addresses work. Disabling ESET VPN causes the address to work. This problem doesn't occur on my other Outlook email client. I would appreciate your help in resolving this issue. The 2-year-old support page "View synced tabs from other devices" gives 2 methods for syncing all your tabs from one Windoze FF to another. Neither one does anything at all for me now. The "right-click on the device in the sidebar" sounded SO promising, but it does not cause anything at all to happen. And checking the "sync tabs" box does indeed make them all show up in the sidebar list, but does not open anything. So besides clicking on each of the hundreds of tabs listed, how can I do this, or is it just another FF functionality lost to time?

i have been using this email address [email 1 removed] and it wont let me to sign in or reset password i do have another email address which is no longer use its been hacked ([email 2 removed]) is it possible to change the email address to [email 1 removed] so i can continue using that email [email 1 removed]

I’m using Firefox on an Android tablet in PC mode, paired with a keyboard and mouse. To enhance the desktop experience, I’ve switched the tab view from grid to list. However, I can’t enable full-screen mode for the entire app, something I can do on Firefox Desktop. On YouTube, videos automatically switch to full screen when I enter full-screen mode, but this feature seems missing for the browser itself. Maybe the full-screen option isn’t available in the settings.

Issue Description: I’m experiencing a problem with fullscreen mode while using YouTube on Firefox on Windows 11 with a dual-monitor setup. When I enter fullscreen, the video does not cover the entire screen. Instead, I can still see parts of the Windows desktop or background around the edges of the display.

This issue only happens on Firefox and only when using fullscreen mode on one of my monitors. I have already checked my display settings, scaling, alignment, and hardware acceleration, but the problem persists.

System Details:

Windows 11

Dual-monitor setup

Browser: Firefox (latest version)

Issue: Fullscreen video shows borders and does not fully cover the screen

Expected Behavior: The fullscreen video should completely fill the selected monitor without showing any part of the Windows desktop.

Please advise on how to resolve this issue.

I am experiencing an unwanted UI behavior in Firefox. When I select text on any webpage, Firefox displays a floating “Ask ChatGPT” bubble above the selected text. This happens regardless of the site. I want to disable this feature, but Firefox provides no setting or preference to do so.

This is not caused by any extension. I verified this by checking about:addons, and I only have the following extensions installed:

DuckDuckGo Privacy Essentials

Firefox Translations

Gibiru for Firefox

None of them inject any ChatGPT functionality.

I then opened about:config to disable the feature, but the usual preferences do not exist on my system. Keys such as:

ui.textSelectEnabled

browser.selection.menu.enabled

browser.ml.chat.enabled

browser.ml.chat.openai.enabled

browser.ml.enabled

are missing, and Firefox only shows the “add new preference” (+) icon. That means Firefox did not expose any toggles for this behavior.

I am including a screenshot showing the unwanted “Ask ChatGPT” popup that appears when selecting text.

I need instructions on how to permanently disable this text-selection popup, or confirmation on whether this is part of a controlled rollout or experiment that cannot be disabled on my version of Firefox.

I recently tried to connect to two different meeting sites. Both times I got a pop-up noting (correctly) that camera and microphone are blocked. I'm able to click to enable the microphone but I never get the option to enable the camera.

I tried going to Settings>Security&Privacy>Camera but that only allows me to remove previously-enabled websites.

Clicking on the settings button in the address bar shows audio and recording settings but no camera.

What am I doing wrong?

I keep getting unwanted [expletive] like news stories I don't want on android Firefox I DONT WANT THIS [expletive]. GET IT OFF MY PHONE AND OFF MY APPS!!!! !!!!? O don't want to see this [expletive] whenever I open the app. Fix it.

I don't want to see more AI features on this browser. I don't care for its harmful effects on the environment and I use Firefox to escape the bullshit of Google Chrome and other web browsers. I'm probably going to switch completely if more AI features are added.

I am experiencing an issue where Google.com (other google domains work fine) will not load in Firefox, resulting in an infinite loading loop. Other browsers on the same system (Brave) work fine.

Here are the steps I have already tried:

Reinstalled Firefox completely

Removed Firefox via sudo apt remove --purge firefox -y

Cleared all user profiles and caches: ~/.mozilla/firefox, ~/.cache/mozilla, ~/.config/Mozilla

Reinstalled via Flatpak

Tested network connectivity outside Firefox

curl google.com works correctly

DNS resolution works via getent hosts google.com in the host system

Checked proxy settings

Ensured “No proxy” is selected in Firefox → did not resolve the issue

Tested in Safe Mode (disabling extensions)

Problem persists, so not caused by extensions

Tried disabling IPv6 inside Firefox

network.dns.disableIPv6 set to true → no effect

Cleared DNS cache inside Firefox

about:networking#dns → clicked “Clear DNS Cache” → no effect

Disabled DNS-over-HTTPS (Secure DNS)

about:preferences#privacy → “Use secure DNS” → disabled → no effect

Disabled HTTP/3 (QUIC)

network.http.http3.enabled set to false → no effect

Verified Flatpak network permissions

flatpak info --show-permissions org.mozilla.firefox shows network access allowed

Inside the Flatpak shell:

flatpak run --command=sh org.mozilla.firefox getent hosts google.com

→ returns only IPv6 address: 2800:3f0:4001:839::200e google.com

Several times now I've closed firefox while having the open previous windows and tabs on startup on only for all my tabs to have been closed (with this time in particular being annoying due to losing tabs that I needed to have the specific link for). Is there any way to restore tabs lost in this way?
