Hi there,

I use Firefox both on my Windows PC and Mac. On Windows, when I want to show a saved password, Firefox asks Firefox password first before showing the saved password but on Mac Firefox does not ask Firefox password, so the password is shown immediately after I click the Eye icon.

In my opinion it's quite dangerous because if I forget to lock my Macbook, someone can easily see all my saved password on Firefox.

I hope Firefox can fix this.

Best Regard

About this article: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/windows-administrator-launcher-process-error-fix#w_how-to-verify-the-problem

In order to solve the drag and drop issue under win7, article above suggests "Start Firefox Using the -no-deelevate command" but doesn't clarify what would be the risks on doing it.

I mean, the security risk is only mentioned in the next suggestion "partial workaround", saying it would be rather than lower security by using -no-deelevate instead, but also gives no information about what risks would be.

So I would like to know:

1) If I decide to use -no-deelevate option, what sort of risks I'm taking?

2) To a no fool internet user, is it worthy to take?

This is relevant for me cuz re-enable UAC makes user have to confirm dialog box to everything at all in Windows despite logged as full right administrator.

Nor less annoying are the other option "copy and paste" "save as", putting me under ridiculous situation of needy to use Opera browser only to be able of drag IMDB links and images into a folder, then backing to Firefox for everything else.

You can drag an image even to a folder in an USB external drive (OMG-WTF)

Thanks you all.

long story short, if I go on amazon.com it redirects me amazon.com.br without asking me, no pop-ups, no "amazon wants to know you location" it just looks at my IP and send me away, also, if I do something like amazon.co.uk it will prompt me for "would you like to be redirected to amazon.com.br?" and I don't want that either, if I could go to amazon.jp it's all the same for me

note: 1: I used amazon as an example, this happens with eBay, YouTube, Bing, reddit, facebook, PayPal, or any other website that is available on a .br domain 2: I don't want to use a VPN or any Proxy server, I'm not rich, I can't pay 129.99 a year for a browser extesion, and there are free ones, but they bring my 120Mb/s connection to a grinding halt 3: this is most likely my ISP / IP being broadcasting my location without my consent, while some websites do ask me to allow it, my IP most of the time will basically lay open on the table and tell the website "if you wanna look, it's there" 3.2: this is especially annoying with the advertisements saying stuff like "80% of gamers in [USER_CITY] love this RPG" and I'm like, really? a backwater christian town where only 20% of the population have TVs and 5% of those 20% have broadband connection?

in short, I don't want any websites to know where I am

I have configured FF to block all cookies under "Browser Privacy" the custom setting allows "Choose which trackers and scripts to block. and I selected "all cookies". Knowing that all cookies will be blocked I logged into office 365 and allowed manually cookies through "view page info" I then selected "set cookies" to allow expecting full access to office 365 mail, but this did not occur. What happened is I logged into office 365 and could see the icons and my login name but could not read the mail.

Office 365 gave the message "we couldn't sign you in please try again" yet I could see my log in name and the office 365 icons for mail, calendar etc.. just not the actual data. If I allow cookies in Browser privacy (which i take it allows cookies always) it woks.

I bring this up because it seems like something is missing in cookies that is not represented in FF.What is the difference between browser privacy cookies and allowing it through view page permissions? Can anyone offer an explanation?

I select the setting:

"ask to save logins and passwords for websites" so that I can also select

Within the past 24 hours there's been a Firefox update installed which, as usual, has happened quietly and without issue, so I know that my browser is safe and up-to-date. However, today I headed to one of my favourite sites - Imgur - only to find a blank page. Well, not entirely blank - all the words and frames and bits are there but no photos or videos - nothing visual. I had to ignore it during the day and then this evening I asked Imgur if they knew what the problem was. They replied: "It looks like your ISP may be blocking access. I was able to confirm your ISP as TalkTalk which has had this issue occur in the past. I'd recommend reaching out to them directly or using an alternative connection to the site, if possible."

Fair enough - it's TalkTalk's problem - or is it?

Soon afterwards I looked at a comment in Reddit and they gaive a link to Imgur - so, not really expecting much, I clicked on the link. Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to i.imgur.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified."

Please could you add your comments so that I can be assured that it is indeed my server's fault and not a browser problem - so that I can get to the bottom of this unwanted security query.

Hello all, my first post because I am trying to move from Chrome to something less 'information hungry' and up to now Firefox feels like a sensible move.

I have been using AdGuard for about a year and it is good at what it does (on Chrome on Windows and Android). On Windows, Adguard and Firefox seem to work together but when installed on Android they do not play nicely!! Virtually every website is inaccessible due to Security Certificate problems.

There is a solution posted by Adguard to install a security certificate but this is comlex for me as a non IT geek so not happy about even trying that.

Question - if I switch off Adguard on Firefox (this is easy in Adguard settings) does the Firefox HTTPS checker do as good a job with regard to HTTPS requirements over and above HTTP websites? This would be a simple solution (for me) unless anyone can offer an equally (or nearly so) solution.

Any help appreciated. Thanks, Frank

I wanted to transfer my logins and password from one Computer to another and I managed to do so by copying the logins and Key4 files stored in the profile folder. Thank you
