NOTE : This is not referring to loading the application at startup of the operating system

I can't find a way to make Mozilla VPN software automatically switch to ON when the application starts, I would like this to be an option if possible, unless I am missing something? I am running the Windows 10 and iPhone versions of the application, and I cannot make either of them start automatically.

Does anyone know how to do so? Or is this going to be part of a future update to the service?

How do I know if the Mozilla VPN is on and working? I installed it and opened the app. I never got the statement the directions say will come up - "On first connection, the VPN will ask for admin permissions to make changes to your computer’s network settings" - never came up. The app shows it is on but how do I really know it is actually working - there is nothing shown on my Firefox browser that indicates I have a VPN working. I have a Macbook pro running Big Sur. Thanks

Hello. I am using Android 11 with the VPN. I am happy with it so far, just subscribed today. I am having one issue, though. Some apps tend to stay active even when you push the clear all button to clear running apps. I have a bad tendency to clear apps to free up the phone when I'm done using them. Is there a way to make the VPN persistent so it runs in the background, kind of like Facebook or other apps that stay active when you click the clear all button? I keep turning the VPN off and this is not what I want. Thank you for taking the time to read this and know that any help will be greatly appreciated!

I'm a very new user of Mozilla VPN, and so far I've liked it a lot. The Windows 10 apps on my laptop and desktop have been working great, but recently the Android app has been giving me some trouble.

Before the most recent Play Store update to the app, Mozilla VPN would stay connected in the background since I had the "Always On" setting enabled. After the most recent update, the VPN disconnects as soon as I close the app, regardless if "Always On" is enabled or disabled. I'm not sure if the update is the root cause, but that's the only change that's been made since I've started using the service. This happens on any network (home, work office, mobile data).

I've tried basic troubleshooting steps: Restarting my phone, "Forgetting" the VPN and re-adding, and re-installing the Mozilla VPN app with no change in result. As of now, I cannot use Mozilla VPN on my phone without having the app fully open and running in the background.

Please let me know if I can provide more detail. I'm open to any suggestions. Thank you.

I understand I can only subscribe to Mozilla VPN in 6 countries - does that mean I can only use the VPN in those countries? Specifically, say I subscribe in the US and then I'm traveling in Nigeria. If I log into the VPN in Nigeria, is that still secure? If that works, then why can't I subscribe from anywhere?

I have been using Mozilla VPN for a few months. Last week, I upgraded to a new motherboard, CPU and RAM but did not re-install Windows. Now when I try to start the VPN program up, I can see the icon pop into the startbar but then quickly disappears indicating that it closed down on its own. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the behavior persists.

I'm not sure how to troubleshoot other than starting with a fresh install of Windows. I'm not sure where logs would be located.

Hi!

I know there's no supporting app for Mac right now, but knowing how VPN works, I know we can set it up manually through network settings. Is there no documented settings we can enter manually to be able to use it right away on Mac and other devices?

Btw, I really like that I can support Mozilla by paying for that VPN service - that I needed anyway - but the other two big companies that I won't name do provide infos to setup any device manually. It would stand out if Mozilla VPN did the same
