My phone broke down and I had to send it in, for it to be repaired. As usual for warranty repairs the phone needed a factory reset to be sent in. Before doing that I backed up my session using Firefox sync as described here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/mobile/backup-recovery-and-sync/backup-data That went fine and I could access the data from my PC.

Now my phone returned, I reinstalled firefox yesterday and immediately after signing in, my backup in Sync was overwritten with a blank session. Is there any way to get the old session back?

Hello, I recently used the option to sign out while also checking the box to delete data from the device. I was under the impression that once I had the new computer I could just sign into my account and my synced data would be there. This is not the case, because I can't even get my bookmarks and what not back on the device that I originally signed out of. I'm pretty sure I am on the right account so why is everything gone even though it said that synced data will not be deleted? Am I cooked? Losing all my keys and bookmarks is going to suck so if anyone could help me, that would be much appreciated.

My firefox recently crashed (f5ea38ba-f4f8-4224-8ab8-982e19cc72f7) is the crash code if that helps it happened just now, i dont have any additional profiles and no folder such as "old firefox" is there any way i can recover all the information and my old settings or passwords or anything? Hi, I’ve lost all of my saved passwords, bookmarks, and browsing history in Firefox. I’ve been a Firefox user for over five years, always tied to the same Firefox account email. My laptop recently had to be repaired, and the technicians performed a full reboot. After getting it back and reinstalling Firefox, all my data was gone. I tried recovering an old profile, but the reboot erased everything, so there are no old profiles or local data left on the device. Since my Firefox account has always been connected to the same email, I was hoping all of my data would still be recoverable, but I haven’t had any success. This represents over five years of saved information, and I really need help to restore it. Can Firefox support assist me in recovering my data through my account? Thanks in advance.

I lost ALL of my passwords, saved favorites and am so pissed with my inability to retrieve them. I occurred when I was in the sync settings while personalizing firefox. What gives?

I was using my account for sync my bookmarks, but i hope that was saved in my phone. After check CCleaner deleted all from my laptop, i realize that was also deleted from my mobile. ¿How i can recover all my bookmarks that was sync in my account?

I have lost my profile in firefox, i have an account sync but after restarting my pc i lost everything and seems the profile is not existing and when i re log with my account i did not recover anything.

with a computer cleaning i deleted my passwords on my macbook. should not happen. on my iphone they still exist. how can i get all passwords from firefox on my phone back to my firefox browser on my macbook? when i sync i am afraid to delete the passwords on my phone too..

Sync has been mostly usable the past 2 yrs and now all my data is randomly gone. I had a android and desktop syncing and nothing else. Are there backups or previous versions of saved data? This right here is what I feared for so many years.... Where's my data? Don't send me generic answers. Is there a backup on a server or not? If so give it up

Hello, after changing devices, I had to change my Mozilla password because I could not access my password manager at the time. When syncing, I realised everything had disappeared. I still have the old password, have changed it back to the old password, is there anyway for me to get my data, I have no copy of my bookmarks or history or anything?

All my firefox bookmarks disappeared on my desktop even tho' logged. Still on phone and laptop. How do I sync so I get them back and not erase the two mobile devices?

My computer unexpectedly had to do a factory reset. I had to add Firefox back on to my computer. It was my main default browser. I couldn't remember my password because I had Firefox for so many years. Your system forced me to change my password and now I cannot gain access to my bookmarks/passwords when I sign on. If you tell me that those were lost in the transition, I will be so upset. This was the only reason I was using you and do not understand why syncing is not working or recovering the information. I hope that this can be recovered, if not I have no use for your browser and will switch to a more updated browser in Chrome. I have never had such problems and cannot even remember all the bookmarks I have lost. I will never forget this experience. My hope is it will be because someone there was able to save the day and not because I realized that your company is outdated and clunky like Microsoft. Hoping you can help and completely upset. I am also very confused why my information would not have backed up automatically.

I used the new CleanMyMac and the think has removed the passwords from Firefox on my iMac. I still have them on my iPhone in both Lockwise and the Passwords app. Sync doesn't seem to alter anything. Anyone know a way to re-establish these in the iMac's Firefox?

I have had a firefox account for the past 1 year I have browsed a lot of sites in that 1 year and had a few bookmarks too. I used to regularly sync the account too. Today after a normal browsing session I closed firefox. After I opened it up again it had automatically signed me out. When I signed back in, I saw that my whole history had been wiped, everything from the past 1 year. Now there is no trace of it. Please tell me what might have happened. Everything is gone. I can provide my account name and details. Please help

I have a rather strange problem and I'm not sure this is the right topic. I generally use my computer on and off all day and I never lock it until the evening when I turn it off. I went out for several hours today and when I came back there was a new version of Firefox installed. When I opened Firefox I realized it was a new version because it would not let me logon until I had completed a profile. My old version never did this. In addition all of my saved passwords had disappeared as well as my bookmarks. I'm using a Dell laptop running Win 11, about 2 years old. I don't understand how this could happen. There was no one here while I was out. I looked to see if there was a saved profile but only the one in use showed up. The current version appears to be 145.0.1. One thing that might have something to do with it. I might have been asked yesterday if I wanted to synch firefox on my computers but I'm not sure how I answered this (I'm almost 90 and my memory is a bit imperfect).

I do have Firefox on a second desktop which is running Win 10. Is it possible to use that profile. That computer has not been turned on since this happebd and is currently asleep. Any help or suggestions will really be appreciated!

I got a new computer. The old computer is inaccessible. When I downloaded Firefox on the new computer, I could not remember my password and had to reset it. Now all of my synced data is lost. Is there ANY way I can get this information back? I absolutely need the bookmarks on my account to be able to pay bills, and i had no idea changing my password would cause the synced to be lost.
