Firefox kept eating my RAM, running dozens of processes. I have gone into about:config and set the dom.ipc.processCount to 1 - then I restarted Firefox and found 5 processes running straightaway before even using the browser. I closed it down and have started it again and now there are 11 processes running with just one tab open. The problem repeats on three different computers which are not infected with malware. One computer with slightly less RAM I now cant even use Firefox at all (though all other browsers work fine) because the tabs constantly crash due to the high number of processes. Is there any way to set the process limit low in a way that Firefox actually responds to?

I saw bunch of threads which suggest to enable "ctrl+tab cycles through tabs in recently used order". It does what I need, but in previous versions I used to press only ctrl+tab. While I was holding ctrl I could iterate over tabs via tab key. After releasing ctrl selected tab was chosen

It differs with current behavior where you press ctrl+tab and after releasing all keys pop up with tabs is still be viewed and you need manual action with space/enter/mouse click to open selected tab

Is there any way to use only ctrl+tab without any manual actions required like it was back in the days where after releasing the control key selected tab is opened?

This morning (08/28/25), I updated my browser to v142.0.1 (64-bit), and Facebook as well as other sites have been affected to the point that I can't even see contents now!!!!!!!

I (God forbid) opened the same sites in Edge, and there's no problem viewing them on Edge.

Is there a way that I can roll back this latest update, because I had no problems until this morning. I'm running a Win 10 Pro OS.

I've gone through the various troubleshooting options over the last month or so and Firefox is still crashing constantly for me, even in Troubleshooting mode. The tabs crash when I'm using a Google Doc, YouTube, Discord, doesn't matter the site; I've submitted about 20 crash reports this morning alone and failed to submit several more:

How can you remove the regular reminder to update firefox to the newest version on macos that occurs when you tick "Check for updates but let you choose to install them"?

Since this week's update of Firefox Developer edition when the browser is restarted tabs do not load until I reset the browser.

I suspect an add-on but have not been able to determine which one.

This is happening on multiple (3) physical computers.

I just started a new work role and haven't been able to find the time to troubleshooting of the issue myself.

This has been very disrupting and stressful.

I cannot access my credit union's marketing page: "marketing.riograndecu.org" This has been a problem for the past week. I am connected to my home wifi. I repeatedly get this message:

The connection has timed out

The server at marketing.riograndecu.org is taking too long to respond.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web.

I am on Firefox 142.01 and Windows 11. For the past month or so, after logging into websites such as chewy.com, orbitz.com, marriott.com etc, the screen returns completely blank. I then have to go to Chrome if I want to do anything. I use NoScript 13.0.9 and have allowed all access so not sure what is blocking the browser content. There are no error messages or anything displaying at all. Any assistance is appreciated, thank you!

Ever since upgrading to Windows 11, my Firefox installation has occasionally been unable to resolve domain names of some websites. Example domains:

• apps.powerapps.com
• static.cdninstagram.com
• google.com

As I was trying to debug this, I discovered that the DNS resolution and connection timings are just over 30 seconds (see the attached image). This is highly unusual.

• The issue does not occur with other web browsers on my computer (i.e., Microsoft Edge).
• The issue has persisted across reboots.
• I have already reinstalled Firefox (and wiped the temp files and appdata profile before installing again).
• The issue does not occur with other devices on my home network.
• DNS over HTTPS has been manually disabled.
• Changing DNS resolvers in my Windows settings does not fix the issue.
• The issue is still present with a fresh, unmodified installation of Firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! I love Firefox and do not want to switch to a different browser.

Hi, just to say, sorry, I’m an absolute idiot, I don’t understand tech at all. I have a VPN, privacy badger and ublock origin. These issues continue whether these three things are turned off or not, so I believe it must be to do with my Firefox settings.

Everything was fine, but now all of the sudden, certain elements of pages will not load.

So for example, today I tried to go to Gizmodo and look at a Star Trek page. Cool. https://gizmodo.com/star-trek-day-announcements-include-a-lego-collaboration-and-a-youtube-kids-series-2000655142

This is not the only site, just an example.

Clicked the comment button to see what people are saying. It won’t load the comments. The comments are completely blocked. They don't exist. When I try to look at the comments, it just shows me another part of the webpage, can't even see the comments.

Thought it was just this site, but then today I was on a plastic surgeon site in Europe to make a payment and it wouldn’t load the payment page.

I tried turning off badger and unblock to make the payment, and it didn’t work.

Honestly I really have no idea what the problem is, I know I’m doing something stupid but I don’t know what it is or how to figure out.

Any help on figuring out what’s going on or where the hiccups for these might be would be welcome.

My primary google account's language is set to english. If I search normally, then the results are shown in english. If I open a private window and search in google, the results will try to be in the regional english and google asks if I want to switch to english every time.

I cannot log in to iCloud.com, even after setting a popup block exception. When I click on the "go" arrow after entering password, I get a notice on my iPhone to allow access. After I approve, I get a 6-digit verification code on the iPhone. But no popup window appears on the Firefox tab, so I can enter the code. Any suggestions?

i just want to be able to add drag space to the top of my browser so i can move the window easily while it's maximized. i have been unable to find the customization section of firefox options and there is also no place on this website to speak to an actual member of support staff. this should be simple
