Have 3 gmail accounts 1 icloud account all are appearing and working, but can't get unified inbox to display anything even though there are emails in all accounts.

I right clicked unified inbox properties and selected all 4 accounts and clicked ok then update. In box shows 0 email. I did shutdown and restart computer????

Since yesterday my incoming email are not shown as they should, it looks like HTML code .... not an expert! I attach a screenshot of the email I received for the security code .... How can I change the layout back to the normal layout? Thx for your help!

Thunderbird is not saving IMAP message bodies to my home computer.

My settings: - Keep messages in all folders on this computer is checked. Under "Advanced" all the folders are checked for download. - Synchronize all messages locally regardless of age is on.

If a message has some significant graphics there is a fairly long delay before the body is shown. I know that this is a characteristic of IMAP. But if I close Thuderbird and return to it later, the same message will again have the download delay. Clearly it is not being stored on my computer.

Any help will be appreciated.

I've looked at various other forums and chats, and it looks like this isn't possible...but is there a way to have T'bird expand all email threads by default for all folders, so I don't keep on having to hit the "*" to make it happen? This seems like an easy fix, whereby the user could have threads collapsed or expanded by default.

I'm using Thunderbird 140.5 on a desktop Mac running Sequoia 15.7.2

In Local Folders, my subfolders have subfolders. In both levels of subfolders, Thunderbird has spontaneously started disordering both newly created subfolders, and folders which I move from one subfolder to another using right click 'Move To'

Up until ten days ago, all folders whether new or moved, were listed alphabetically. Now, day by day, the disordering is getting worse and as someone with ongoing conversations with hundreds of clients, it is becoming impossible to work when I have to give so much time to slowly scanning through every folder looking for the relevant subfolder.

I don't know why I can't update this version, but I tried installing the newest version available (145) and used the 'reset folder option' which did not work either.

Also, setting up a whole new account instead of upgrading my existing account is a colossal faff and I'd rather not have to!

Aside from manually reordering (also a colossal faff), can anyone suggest something I might be missing in stopping this happening?

I need help with two items of thunderbird program. 1. I have a new iMac desktop OE Tahoe version 26.1 I tried to figure out how to use my thunderbird program to be just like the one in my older iMac version Tahoe 26.1. I found info in your forum. When I followed the info it was as simple as never before…which kind of concerned me. In the instructions for setting up thunderbird into the new iMac, it said to log into my acct using my email address. That worked & it asked if I wanted to open a new acct or the existing one. I used the existing one & it walked me through the pop & stmp setup. When it opened up, all the existing emails were on the new iMac. Super easy. But now I don’t know how to make thunderbird in the new iMac to look like the old one with large font like in thunderbird 140.4 version. Can you help me with step by step info? 2. In using thunderbird on the new iMac, will the emails still be accessible in the old iMac? Am I making sense or do you need something else from me? Hello, I just installed a clean version of Thunderbird (version 146.0.1) and set up my email accounts and CardDAV address books.

I do have multiple address books and I tried to find a setting to show the name of the address book for each contact shown in the suggestion list for recipients when composing a new email. However, I could only find a general setting to get suggestions for recipients from local address books, nothing more specific.

On a different device I still have Thunderbird 140.6.0esr installed. There, the suggestion list does indeed show the name of the address book next to the suggested contact: "name of contact <email@address> - name of addressbook"

I tried to find a corresponding setting for this in version 140.6.0esr, but without success.

So I'm wondering:

1. Did the style/layout of the suggestion list change in recent versions?
2. Does a setting exist to show the name of the address book in the suggestion list?

Additional info: The only extension that is installed and enabled on both devices is ImportExportTools NG.

when i do copy and paste from documents, mails or websites i always do it via right-click and paste without format (idk the correct english term, cause i am using the german edition).

Often the text is displayed without format (thats what i want!) but when i send my mail its written in the copied Format (e.g. Times New Roman). Its a little bit confusing that there is text format, when i insert it. The opponent is getting my mail in wrong format. How can i change it? Am i using the paste wrong?

Why is threading enabled by default in TB after installation? I add an existing IMAP account to the program. I set sorting by date. If someone replies to an email from a month ago, it's difficult to find it in threading. It used to be possible to enable it manually, but now it's enabled by default. TB can also lose attachment opening preferences in programs after an update, such as .pdf or .doc. Note that some PDF documents don't display correctly in the built-in preview and require the use of Adobe Reader.

Hello I recently noticed that mu Mozilla Thunderbird software did not include anymore all my email addresses in the unified inbox. I can still see all addresses in the left pannel, but two of them are not included in the unified inbox, although until recently they were! Including the main one, the starred one! How can I include them back? I have 143.0 (64-bit) version Thank you

I am currently using Thunderbird 140.6.0esr (64-bit). Operating system is Windows10, my computer doesn't meet Windows11 requirements.

I use Thunderbird to receive messages from both my Orange.fr and Gmail.com accounts. I use the Message Filters tool on both accounts to sort the incoming messages into different folders to make it easier to follow threads. I have Thunderbird running in the background all the time that my computer is active.

The Thunderbird Icon on the taskbar is set to show new messages. It used to show the total of all incoming messages, but now (I think just since the latest update) it only shows those new messages that have remained in the main inbox of either account, any messages that have been sorted into sub-folders are not included in the number shown on the icon. This means that when I have been away from the computer leaving Thunderbird running I now have to enter Thunderbird to see if any new messages have been sorted rather than just glancing at the taskbar.

What setting have I missed or is this a "bug".

More an annoyance than big issue. Thanks in advance for any guidance you can provide.

I switched from Gmail, but there's no trash can icon on cards, which is very inconvenient. I don't need advice like "Press Delite" or "Right-click and..." I want to be able to delete emails efficiently without taking my hands off the mouse, like in Gmail or Outlook. Can't I add it as a setting or add-on?

I am running Thunderbird 140.4.0esr (64-bit) on an iMac running macOS Sonoma 14.7.4. I have two email accounts on it, one my university account and one gmail. I have over 500 Local Folders used to keep track of my personal matters, correspondence and tax preparation matters. In the past three or four weeks, during which I updated my Tbird at least once, the Local Folders have become no longer alphabetized and at least one folder I can no longer find. I appears that the most recently used folders are moved to an alphabetized set at the end of my original set. It also appears that the list of folders differs slightly depending on which account from which the list is viewed. Why is this happening and how can I solve it?

I find US date format utterly confusing. I want change settings so that my Thunderbird email is in UK date format. 1 - How can I do this please? 2 - If the answer to 1) is "you can't yet" then how soon will this option be made available?

started a new profile, imported bookmarks, the about:config settings won't die. I've deleted the user and prefs.js data etc. but all the dumb changes I made before switching users just make their way back no matter how many new profiles I create. I have standard Firefox, with Nightly and Private versions installed. Win 11 25H2 whatever its called now.. please help.

I've recent moved to Linux and Thunderbird from Win/Outlook. I have a singifcant message base that I've successfully migrated to Thunderbird, most in bound email but witha chunck of outbound too. This all appears in Local Folders, with the outbpund stuff in Sent Item sub-folders.

Card View suits my well, however when I look at the Sent Items local folders, I always see the from address (i.e. me) rather than to "to" address. This is pretty useless, however I can't see any way to influence if it shopuld the from or to address in Card View with local folders. Am I missing something?

Card View within a 'normal' email account shows either to or from as you'd expect, and therfore works fine.

Help! I've been using Thunderbird for 2 years and just discovered that my Local Files only go back 1 year. Being used to Eudora who kept things forever, I am dismayed at this: how can I stop Thunderbird from deleting my important files!?
