I have been using Thunderbird for ages now with no problem, but I suddenly realised that no recent emails were appearing from my Gmail account. I have tried everything suggested on line to resolve the problem, including uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, and deleting and re-entering my acccount details but neither the IMAP or SMTP servers will connect to Gmail. I have reset all of the server settings on Thunderbird, and have checked that Gmail is IMAP compliant (which, apparently, is is now automatically). I have spent hours trying to sort this out and am just at the point of abandoning Thunderbird completely, but I am loathe to do so if there is a solution. The latest error message i have received is "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password" but I don't know what else I can check or change.

Default homepage is yahoo. Since the update to version 149, if I do a search from yahoo, the new tab that opens with the search result is blank most of the time. I have to click reload for the search results to show up.

Is anybody else having that problem? Seems to be yahoo search specific but not 100% sure.

I'm using Firefox 150, but I don't see a VPN button, not even in the extension drop-down menu. There's only a new button for my Firefox account (F). When I click it, I can only choose the paid VPN options.

I've just opened one simple Web site (in addition to Mozilla), and already CPU usage sits at about 20%! Please refer to my recent posts here at "Why is Firefox Suddenly Taking Over my CPU?" for the problem description. Hi, I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 home. One of the things that has changed is that my downloads don't stay. After closing Firefox the download is there but if you click on it it says "File missing or moved".

‘how do i get thunderbird to stop asking for log-in credentials to an account that i removed from thunderbird? every time i open thunderbird, a dialog box opens asking for my passord to an old account, that has been removed.

When I click on the search box in the middle of the New Tab page and start typing, the focus automatically jumps to the Address Bar (Awesomebar). I want the typing to stay within the central search field.

In about:config, I have set browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.improvesearch.handoffToAwesomebar to false. However, this did not fix the problem — the input is still being redirected to the top address bar.

As stated above, received msg from me to me -- a common practice I hear. If I change my password, will that fix this? I tried to log in to Outlook on line to change password but I use a passkey - doesn't let me do a password entry. Help..... Thanks.

All of a sudden, my default search engine changed to Google. I didn't do it and don't want it. The "settings" still show Firefox as my default, but it doesn't stop Google from hijacking my searches. I want to get rid of it.

If I go to AOL.com they useually have 40 or so news articlaes/ads you scroll through. Several weeks ago the text for the articles stopped displaying. I have tried other browsers and the text shows up. Not sure what setting may effectr this.,

always I use virustotal for cheching safely of any URL. this morning , FF149, does not work, error message "403 Forbidden"

is this something new from Firefox, just updated to 149. or is there a problem with virustotal?

The latest version of Firefox appears to have updated a setting: When selecting a custom search engine in the address bar or search box, you now need to click the mouse three times (click the dropdown button on the left side of the box - select search engine - search); previously, after entering search terms in the search box, you only needed to move the mouse icon below the box to automatically display all search engines, and then click the desired engine to search directly, thus completing the search with just one click.

The old setting was very convenient; while the new setting forces me to click several times every time I want to search for a term in the search bar.

I hope the support team will address and improve this issue.
