Not sure how to proceed to get my bookmarks moved from my old laptop to my new one. I'm a mainframe guy and often get lost with these PCs. :-)

Bookmark sidebar is visible, but bookmarks are not visible. bookmark icon show but the bookmark name is not.

This occurred after the latest update.

This has now occurred on another computer. Now I have 2 with this problem

For some reason after an update I lost the ability to access my collections. I can add new pages to my collection but have no way to access them. The option to add it to my homepage is now gone.

CCleaner wiped out my bookmarks and their functionality. I have repaired, then uninstalled CCleaner. I have refreshed, uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox. I have logged in and out of Firefox. I have made an HTML file of bookmarks from another device in order to try to import them. Firefox bookmarks will not proceed to an upload stage. I went into setting to add the HTML of bookmarks and it said "this is not a bookmarks file." Well, Firefox made that HTML bookmarks file so I have no idea how that could be. Nothing I have tried has worked.

I tried to login to k9data.org. This is a re-write of a product I've used for years. So far as I can tell, others are now using the new version. When I login the screen clears and shows entry into a url called ff.newtabsearch.net. It claims to be a new addon for Firefox. However, following the instruction, I get in a loop and there is no indication that any addon was installed.

I do not care it it’s optional. I do not care if there is a “kill switch”. Firefox should not be wasting it’s time on these features in the first place, as it has been nothing but an active detriment to the user experience on every platform on which it has been implemented. Nobody asked for this. Nobody wants this. I installed Firefox because I saw that it was different from other browsers, mainly in the way that it was not following the latest tech fads straight off a cliff. If the new leadership decides to change that, then I see no reason to stick around.

I've got a new SSD and have reinstalled Firefox as my browser. In the past I've had the address field on the left and the search field to its right. I can get the search field on the same level as the address field but have not been able to switch their locations.

I thank you for whatever suggestions or guidance anyone can give.

When I play YouTube videos in Firefox, the video stutters and drops frames, even when set to 480p. The audio continues to play normally. This issue does not happen in Chrome on the same laptop.

The problem started about a week ago. I’m using Firefox on Windows 11. Restarting Firefox did not resolve the issue. I’ve attached screenshots for reference.

I come, trying to manage my disappointment and anger, to say only one thing: I love Firefox, it (still) has the best UX of any modern browser. And part of that is that it has NO AI malware built into it. The recent statements from the CEO regarding the implementation of AI into the browser is extremely disappointing, to the point of it feeling like a personal betrayal, and will only make me (and a lot of other people) just completely abandon it. And don't kid yourselves, your user base never was so low, and that user base only like this browser specifically because it has no malware built into it, because of the privacy and open nature you had before this debacle. You're shooting yourselves on booth feet and an arm with a shotgun. I don't trust you as a company anymore at all; you just achieved the complete opposite of what you said you wanted. If you just made use of reverse psychology and was that's your actual goal, congrats. This company quite literally couldn't have elected a worse person to be chief executive.

a black box appears over the search box when mouse is moved over the tab. Tried in safe and troubleshoot mode. Box still appears only in white I did find an answer previously but reinstalled firefox and the fix was lost. Problem resolved.

Running version 146.0.1 No new extensions. Recently, when I hit ctrl+b to bring up the bookmarks sidebar, it opens but doesn't display the bookmark correctly. (image #1) The sidebar opens, but everything is whited out. The same thing happens when I try to open the history sidebar, except that the urls kind of show up. (image #2). Also, when I'm on my homepage, there's a white line on the left side that I can't get rid off. (image #3) I also tried refreshing firefox, but that didn't do anything. Does anyone have an idea what may be causing this? Thanks

I can't find a place to manage my payment methods. The only place I found that was when I check out and fill in my information in a store website.

The browser suggests my card and under that it says "Manage payment methods".

When I click that it opens "about:preferences#privacy-form-autofill" and then quickly becomes "about:preferences#privacy".

When trying to access windinfo.eu, I get the message "you are not allowed to preview snippets". Other websites work o.k. I had used the snipping tool on a different website, but not on this one. The problem persists even after deinstalling the snipping tool and restarting. On edge, I get access to windinfo.eu.

When I try to log in to my account with Amazon Prime, Firefox freezes as soon as I hit the Continue button after entering the username and password. I can't open or close tabs or do anything. I don't have this problem with the Amazon account in any other browser.

Any ideas why this happens and how to fix it?

Whenever I type in "photo", Firefox has always autocompleted to photos.google.com. Today it's started autocompleting to photoquotes.com instead; a site I never use, and I don't know why Firefox is suggesting it.

I have followed SEVERAL guides for how to remove sites from autocomplete suggestions, and all of them give wrong advice.

I have gone to History/Manage History and 'Forget about this site'. That does not remove the site from autocomplete.

I have tried 'Hover over the entry to select it, then click delete'. This does not work. It only deletes the last character entered in the address bar.

I have tried 'Select the three-dot menu beside the suggestion and select Remove from history'. That is Not Possible with the top result in autocomplete, which appears above Firefox suggestions.

Could someone please tell me the CORRECT answer on how to remove specific websites from being suggested in autocomplete!?

I started using the new "Profiles" feature in firefox, and I created profiles one one device. However I am finding that the profiles are not syncing across my devices. Both are Windows 11 VMs, I tried doing manual syncs, singed out and back in to both devices. But the Profiles I create on each just do not seem to sync, is this the expected behavior ?

Bookmarks in Firefox disappeared and cannot import my Bookmarks backup. I have tried to restore an older Bookmark file through /manage bookmarks/ import and backup/restore to no avail. thank you
