I have Windows 11 and Firefox 124.0.2. Firefox keeps asking to reinstall. I think it is because I keep getting the message that it fails to check for updates. I don't know if I have installed the Microsoft Firefox or the direct Mozilla Firefox downloaded. Maybe that is the problem, but I am not tech savvy. I have used Firefox for many years and like it. I am also too old (83) to deal with these problems. Help!

I did an hardreset to my computer yesterday, today I logged in to my FireFox account and now all of my stuff (History, Passwords, Bookmarks) are from 2020. I don't have any backup, what do I do?

I am having a significant issue with firefox draining my battery. I used chrome up until the new year and then switched over to firefox from chrome. Overall I love firefox so much more. The format is way more pleasing. I love how it easily signs me back into everything, BUT IT DRAINS MY COMPUTER SO MUCH. Like i used to have an 8hour + battery span my laptop neverrr died. Now I get through MAX 2 hours of full use before needing to charge, and maybe 4 hours just having it at school but not using it.

I thought my dell suddenly started crashing, ran all these tests, and then I realized the only change was that I had started using Firefox... So sad I think I am going to have to leave it.

I read a lot of articles and did everything suggested. my graphics is webreader , i turned on all the suggested features, i have 2 extensions , the only thing I could maybe think of was that I use an animated theme so maybe that was killing the battery, but like if I can't use my theme than whats the point.

Hi, this issue has been present for a long time for me, and with many versions of Firefox Nightly for Android.

I'm always using the latest nightly for browsing Youtube only, with a set of specific settings and addons (since we can't use profiles on Android yet)

My problem is I've configured the Homepage to never show anything but a few URLs I chose to pin, you can see my settings and my homepage in the screenshots attached.

Despite the "Recently visited" setting being disabled, sometimes, but not everytime, the last pages I visited are added to the Homepage, after the pinned sites. I have no idea what triggers it or not, if I'm doing something wrong or if it's a bug.

I just did a Google image search on my pixel 8 and saw that all the image results were forced to "fit width" so I can only really see 1 result at a time. I have the "Google Search Fixer" installed and dialsabling it returns the image search view to gallery. But when I enable to addon it goes back to that "ft to wish" view.

I've looked through the options and tried searching for similar problems/solutions and found nothing. How do I return my Google image search view to gallery? It's really obnoxious and frustration to only be able to see 1 image at a time when searching.

searching from URL address bar no longer works. Opens search page (start page) instead of results, adding a (unnecessary) step to searching and causing me to have to re-enter my search term. the 2024 trend across the tech industry seems to add unnecessary steps for previously single-step convenient/efficient processes.

You somehow have old, outdated information in your system. Your new browser requires me to log into a facebook account I closed 10 years ago. My password for my current account named, "VangiePangie", now opens a closed account named "Evangeline Custis". I no longer have access to my VangiePangie account with any password. So, I no longer want this new upgraded Firefox account. I want to have my old Firefox account as a default on my desktop. Right now it's an icon at the bottom of the screen, and I can only use it to open one thing at a time. Please give me back my old Firefox browser. I'll struggle with Facebook to get my password to work on my VangiePangie account. I have access to the VangiePangie account right now, because it was never logged out in my old Firefox browser and is in my Bookmarks. This is so very simple and so the fact that it seems impossible to get a straight answer makes me instantly suspicious. Here is the question: What is my location? Simple! In other words, I have Mozilla Firefox installed on a physical device, which HAPPENS to be a desktop computer, not a mobile phone, etc. In other words, it stays here. So why do alllllll the sites act as though I am literally 930 miles...from my actual, physical location! I have NO VPN running...none. Unfortunately, Firefox is using Google location services, WHICH IS THE PROBLEM. I just installed Firefox, instead of Chrome, to solve that problem. I guess THAT was a stupid move, Firefox is worse!

There needs to be a manner in which the USER can INPUT THEIR LOCATION. I'm not trying to "trick" anyone...I'm actually trying to give people ACCURATE INFORMATION which apparently is beyond the capabilities of the internet, to provide.

I am getting a non-overridable TLS error when Thunderbird opens or when I attempt to download new emails (the emails will sometimes download later after I force a download. I have tried to change my TLS version without success. Please help me solve this issue.

My email setup is to an IMAP server (POP will not work with Gmail.com accounts). See my attached image files for further information.

How do I stop firefox from automatically downloading files from the internet when I click on them - without even asking me if I want to download them in the first place. In "Applications", selecting "Always Ask" in "Choose how firefox handles files etc" does not work. Firefox never asks. If it cannot be disabled, I will have to stop using Firefox.

Since a while, when I click on a link in a Google search result, the link opens in a blank tab (about:blank). Opening the link via the context menu "open in new tab" works without any probem. This happens on a iPad with iPadOS 16.7.6 with Firefox 124.0 (39709). FF is set as standard browser. Does not happen in Safari or Chrome.

About a week ago I started getting these update error messages stating "Update available - Firefox couldn't update automatically. Download the new version". I've also tried clicking "Learn more" on the error message but it's a dead link. Going into the settings for updates I am set to auto update, but when I manually check for updates it says "Failed to check for updates".

The help article on this issue simply tells you to download and manually reinstall Firefox, but I'm having to do this nearly every day. I work in IT myself so I know a "bandaid" workaround when I see one. Is there a solution to this issue?

How does one enable calendars in Thunderbird version 115.8.0? When I click the calendar icon on the left of the page, I get a calendar displayed but it has a message highlighted in yellow that says: "All calendars are currently disabled. Enable an existing calendar or add a new one to create or add events."

I cannot find anything in settings or elsewhere to enable calendars.

On March 14 I stopped being able to get my email. A message saying. "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox." What can I do? There is plenty of room on my computer and my server says all settings are correct

I am running the latest software, Sonoma 14.3.1 on my Mac Mini and the Firefox browser 123.0.1 With the last couple of versions of Firefox , after selecting About Firefox, I received the error message "Failed to check for updates" This happened a few times. I was able to manually update to the newer versions. How can I rectify the situation. My Firefox preferences under the General Heading has check for updates selected.
