when starting a new calendar entry, this may look like this: textline one

After closing the edit, the text looks like this: textline one textline two (three spaces at begin) textline three (6 spaces at begin)

However, the edits on my phone, as shown in the image, show that the text structure commands are still there (except bullet point got lost).

So here is my question: how can I get the calendar entries show the obviously maintained text structure?

When I set an event or a task to go off on a certain date and time, nothing happens when the set time is reached. I used to get a pop up showing the event or task on my previous pc with Windows 10. This new pc is Windows 11

I set up some custom (number of days in advance) calendar event reminders of my travel plans in my Google calendar via my cell phone. I have my google calendar linked to thunderbird on my pc. I had accepted the invitations before I left on my trip. (looking at the details of the reminder it shows: "You have accepted this invitation.") I returned home from my trip and have several old flight reminders popping up in my pop-up box in thunderbird. I can try to dismiss them, by clicking on the dismiss button, but nothing happens. They do not disappear. But recurring birthday events from my google calendar, which are also in my T-bird calendar, are able to be dismissed from the T-bird Reminder pop-up box. A new event I created today in google calendar, flowed into T-bird with two custom reminders, but no event invite. (Is the issue with accepting invites?) I have tried unsubscribing and re-adding my google calendar, to no avail. I have tried to clear the T-bird startup cache, both with and without being subscribed to my google calendar, to no avail. Any help is appreciated by this confused user, thank you in advance.

Downloaded the Thunderbird U.S. holidays to my calendar. My calendar is overloaded with miscellaneous and unwanted holidays. I've tried methods on the internet to delete them from my calendar with no success. I'm sure there is a method, but no success in finding it. Please help! Do I need to unistall Thunderbird and start over?

Hi there! The reminder function for termin (for example three days before) doesn't work anymore, but before it works allways. I couldn't find the reason therefore.

Hello! I have a calendar connected via DAVMail (Exchange Server 2019), everything works. But when I create an event in the calendar and start adding participants, autocomplete does not work (there is no list to choose from the address book).

I have an LDAP address book configured for Global Address List (GAL) exchange.

I also imported the address book to Cardbook via .vcf.

How do I set up autocomplete in the calendar? (When writing an email, autocomplete works)

It seems like there is only a global setting to play a sound or not for reminders. Is there a way to customize this for individual event reminders? If not, there should be.

Hi, I have my calendar connected to my Google calendar. It works great in both ways. I can add in Thunderbird and it show up in Google and vice versa. But one issue, when I get a meeting invitation and I accept, it always get in the "Home" calendar and not in my Google one. I have tried to sort them with my Google at top, and if I delete all other calendars it can not be saved at all. And can not find any other settings.

Any suggestions? Or is it just not possible? Maybe a function for a coming update? Or have I just missed out some obvious?

in my calendar, I have an appointment which was set when the person was in Cape Verde, and the time zone there was set to Atlantic/Cape_Verde.

Now, Thunderbird obviously doesn't know about that time zone, it's also not available in the picker (when creating a new appointment).

The appointment in this case gets shown in the calendar as starting at 13.10h, when it should be 10.10h (as I'm in Europe/Berlin).

How do I achieve that? I'm on Windows, TBird 142.0

I've been using Thunderbird on desktop for some time.

Just installed Thunderbird on my Android phone, I can't find the organise, convert to event / task setting.

Is this not available?

Currently, the latest version is 140.20esr. Since the middle of last week, there has been a phenomenon where unsolved and unprocessed appointments set in the calendar settings are no longer displayed in the next day's alerts.

I use TB as a personal home email client & calendar. All the prenamed Category labels for events are primarily oriented to business use. If there a way to rename the Categories and apply a color that I want?

If you're seeing this message after snoozing or dismissing a reminder and this is for a calendar you do not want to add or edit events for, you can mark this calendar as read-only to avoid such experience in future. To do so, get to the calendar properties by right-clicking on this calendar in the list in the calendar or task view.

The calendar is marked as read-only because it contains birthday's and reminders cannot be dismissed.

What is the proper way handle a anniversary calender and reminders?

When I add/edit a calendar event, it only allows for 1 reminder. I often set up multiple reminders for an event, especially if it is scheduled for several weeks in the future. I want to set up a reminder for '2 weeks before', '2 days before', and '12 hours before', but I can't find where to add the additional reminders.

Recently the reminders from my calendar in Thunderbird have failed to show, as if there is a setting that has been turned off. How can I turn them back on again? Thank you. Update: I found for half a day the reminders returned, but they disappeared again. Does anybody have any idea as to what is going on?
