I have been experiencing a problem with Cloudflare specifically on one site (character.ai) and when the verify you are human pops up. It takes me in a seemingly infinite loop. On the Cloudflare community site they say it could be because of things like adblock but even without any adblock or anything of the sort on it does the same thing. Sadly Cloudflare community doesn't support being used on Firefox. So maybe they don't support being used on Firefox in general? I have contacted the actual websites support but they don't seem to even read submitted inquiries because I never hear anything back from them except the automated message they received it. It is now preventing me from using certain things in general which as before it wasn't that big of a deal but recently they changed the site layout and still allowed you to use the old layout but the verification blocks you from using the old layout. The first one is one from a couple of weeks ago when it only effected me trying to open things in a separate tab and the second one is the newer one which prevents me from accessing the old layout. I'm not sure what to do about it since nothing I specifically could do to solve it has helped. I have opted into sharing data under troubleshooting IDK how well that'll help.

As of today, I am unable to scroll with my mouse in google sheets. The scroll bar on the right disappears and I'm taken to the bottom of the spreadsheet and can't scroll back up. I have to use CTRL+Home and then the arrow keys to go down the rows. This appears to be only on Firefox. I tried a different browser and it worked fine.

Firefox ignores /etc/hosts on Macos

Cannot create new account

When creating new account Thunderbird hangs on "Checking password..." When I click on "Configure manually" and then click on "Done", I get the message "Incoming server al… (funda kabanzi)

When creating new account Thunderbird hangs on "Checking password..." When I click on "Configure manually" and then click on "Done", I get the message "Incoming server already exists". But, the account is not in "Account Settings". Additionally, it is not in "Outgoing Server". I had this email account before and removed it. Please help.

(Windows 11 Pro 23H2).  I do have AVG Internet Security installed.  I installed no apps. I turned off Enhanced Protection for sbs.com.au in Firefox but the problem persists. The problem does not occur on Chrome.

Firefox is my default browser. I clicked on a link in my email and it came up on Edge, and asked permission to open in Edge. I thought it was just for that link, but ever… (funda kabanzi)

I checked my computer settings and confirmed that Firefox is my default browser, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

The last couple of days emails from one particular adress (mail send from or generated in our membershipsystem) have started to disapear from my inbox.

I'm not aware that any updates have been done since when it worked.

The mail shows in the inbox for maybe 5-10 sec and then puff without me doing anything or if I click away from inbox and back it's gone

I have checked my spam, the trash and my filters and I have done a search. Even ended up deleting my filters, to be sure.

I have made sure the email adress is not on any spam list. I even tried to make a filter where it would copy the mail to another folder to see if it would stay there (it didn't get copied).

The mail is also gone when I check directly on the webmail with my mail provider.

On my thunderbird I have three different email accounts from the same email provider. I tried sending the same mail to two of my accounts at the same time form this particular emailadress (I can acces the membershipsystem and send / generate mails from there). The mail was recieved and stayed on one account but not the other.

I'm running out of things to try - please help me.

In task manager I have two lines with Thunderbird, but no activity. I tried to re install (without uninstall as I don't want to lose my emails), but that didn't change anything. As of yesterday after 9 pm I have not seen any new email in Thunderbird (115.7.0 (64-bit)). I can see new email in my service provider's (Shaw) webmail service. I downloaded Mailspring and they download to that program. I had a look at Microsoft Mail, which has all of my mail accounts (3 gmail + shaw) and bizarrely, in Mail I can see that the new email are there in my Shaw account.... but are not visible in Thunderbird.

Any suggestions? Uninstall & reinstall?

But for the last several weeks, I have been getting repeated popup pages from Thunderbird nearly full screen interrupting anything else I am doing asking me to sign into my Google account using one of the redundant addresses. If I ignore this and close the window, it pops up again a few seconds later. If I log in as requested, it is replaced by another page requesting permission for Mozilla Thunderbird to "Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail". This I have denied as it seems an unwarranted intrusion. But the requests for login using the redundant address continue every few seconds. How can I prevent this, and allow the redundant email address to rest in peace? Or, how can I delete the redundant addresses permanently? I'm using Thunderbird 91.2.1

In older Firefox without WebEx there was addon which allowed to manipulate forms to prepare proper autocompletion data. This addon is not supported with WebEx anymore due to lack of proper functions. Instead Firefox Dev Team claims that mechanism built in current Firefox is enough for such tasks and mentioned addons are not needed. Seems it is wrong thinking.

I tried different approaches to save username for mentioned site but without success.

Local Folders issue SOLVED by disabling Hardware Acceleration

After installing version 78.4.0 (and continuing into 78.4.1), I have an issue with many of the folders in my Local Folders account. When I click on an affected Local Folder folder, it is not highlighted and no messages appear. Messages will appear if I scroll the mouse pointer over the message pane. I can then also read the messages, etc. If I move to another Local Folders folder, messages may appear or they may not (always the same folders) until I move the mouse pointer as described above. Note that the folder name is also not highlighted after clicking it. Sometimes the entire folder/account column on the left side of the screen is blank until I scroll the mouse pointer over that column. Very annoying! Any ideas? FYI - I have tried "repairing" the folders in question. That does cause the messages to appear but as soon as the folder loses focus, the problem reappears - meaning the messages disappear and do not reappear until I either scroll the mouse pointer over the message pane or re-repair the folder.

I'm using Thunderbird 87.0b3 (32 bit) on a 64 bit PC I recently deleted an email and saw the message:

“Compact Folders.     The messages you have deleted can be purged from disk. This operation will save you 202MB of disk space. Select the option below to let Thunderbird do this automatically without asking you.

[] Remove message deletions automatically and do not ask me. Proceed Cancel”

This message confused me. It was entitled “Compact Folders”, but then stated it would PURGE messages from my disc. Without ticking [] Remove message deletions automatically, I selected “Proceed”. I was very relieved to see that messages were compacted but none of my messages in “Trash” had been deleted.

I strongly suggest that this message should be rewritten to say: Compact folders. If you allow Thunderbird to compact your folders this operation will save xxx MB of disk space. Select the option below to let Thunderbird do this automatically without asking you. [] Compact folders automatically and do not ask me.

Hi, In the new version of Thunderbird, the folder pane, despite having been set as directed, is invisible until I pass my cursor over it, and so is all the mail in the inbox invisible unless I swipe over it. Once I have written an email, both lists revert to this invisible appearance again. This is quite irritating. I would like to see the lists constantly as normal without having to continually swipe over them to make them appear.

Is there some way to stop this from happening?
