The Settings Selection "Always ask me where to save [downloaded] files." has no effect. FF will automatically save the file into whatever folder I selected. (As it happens, that is \MyReceivedFiles.) This means I have to download again to the correct directory/folder and give it a new name. Because there is no "Save As" option. I do not have this problem in Edge browser. This exact same problem was posted at "Downloads default to download folder and never ask where to save them. " https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1412632 But it was archived without being solved. Please solve the problem. P.S. SUPPORT FORUMS: STOP ARCHIVING THREADS OR CLOSING THEM. Under the Applications section of the General 'Tab' of settings I have the option 'Ask whether to open or save' selected. However when I am on a web page click on a downloadable/openable file(which has a app association) - Firefox doesn't ask me whether to save or open - It does both automatically.

I'm using Win 8.1 FF 115.13

I still have not had any improvement with tab crashes especially on sites containing videos. Lately, every time i go on Facebook and play a video reel, i stop the video and before i can return to my home page, the tab crashes. This browser has gotten worse rather than improving.

Ctrl+Shift+D does not bring up bookmark dialog [no response]. Only way to "save all tabs" now is to press alt+B, then move mouse pointer to dropdown menu and select the "save all tabs" menu item with the mouse poiter [only]. This kind of defeats the "keyboard shortcut" approach to ease of use. Previous behavior was by pressing Ctrl+Shift+D would bring up a save bookmarks dialog, and I'm done. I use a lot of "save all tabs". This is only become an issue since apparently installing Firefox v115.12.0esr version 2 days ago, which I didn't hardly remember happening. Although I am running Win8.1, but as stated this was not issue before the newer version Firefox installed. This does not appear to be a Win8.1 incompatibility issue. I have intended to upgrade to Win10, but have other more pressing events recently [accidents, hospitals, etc, etc, etc.] My keyboard tests OK. The Ctrl+Shift+D combination registers as an OK keyboard combination. [?] I've run FF with extensions disabled - same results. [?] Thanks.

Dear Firefox Team,

It has occurred to my Firefox Browser of the latest version of 115 with some websites I have recently visited however which appear 8 grids of blank or white pages under "Recent Activity" as attached with the image for your technical troubleshooting suggestion.

Those 8 grids of Recent Activity in the older version of Firefox browsers used to have shown colorful graphics or images representative of the recent websites I visited in the recent past.

May I know what I am supposed to do to recover those graphics or images?

Kindly offer any suggestion or solution?

Thank you for your kind attention.

Best regards,

I am using AOL as an email account. Many times I am looking at my email, clicking delete or spam, then maybe open one/two/three different emails, read them, delete or save, and my whole system freezes. I have to turn off the pc, then logon. I then open CC Cleaner to clear out the issues only to find that there could be 5000+ items in my browser history, a few hundred cookies all in that short period of time - 3 minutes all this stuff clogs up my computer. CC Cleaner will remove all this junk. I then open up Firefox, get into AOL, start another session. Could be I am able to continue to read my emails for a short period or a long period of time, just reading email, then the computer freezes up again. I have to turn off the machine, turn it back on, get into CC Cleaner and clear out the 5000+ browsing history items and cookies. There is no way that I can capture this CC Cleaner Screen information.

One thing that I thought about is that AOL is spamming me with thousands of junk ads, flashing in and out, on the right side of the screen as I read my email or even just open AOL. Since Yahoo took over AOL and redid AOL in the image of Yahoo, things are a horror. I made a formal complaint with the Ad Agency (forgot the name), opted out of all the ads that I am allowed to opt out and nothing gets better. The Ad Agency is of no help. Does anyone have an idea what is going on / what I can do to stop this?

Hello,

I like using Firefox browser every day. After installing and running Avast antivirus protection (program version : 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.832)), Avast notification always show this message every time I start up Firefox : please check the uploaded images : FPA Scam.jpg.

I already checked the extenstion, the Settings, and the Advance Settings of Firefox browser. I'd like to know if there is any parameter related to engine.forexpeacearmy.com and it is enabled. Unfortunately, I can't found any related parameters.

So, I decide to contact Firefox support to find out what happen to my Firefox browser, why it always call the forexpeacearmy site at the start up, and finally I want to remove it. Because I'm affraid it could be some kind of trojans / malwares and put my laptop into risks.

Kindly need your advise. Thank you.

Kind regards, Gideon
