I can get into my email to see the list but when I try to open the actual piece of mail, it just doesnt open there is an address in the address bar and a blank screen. I noticed something that looks like a lock and it has a line thru it. Not sure if that is part of the problem. I an not extremely tech savvy and maybe thats part of the problem.

Hi. Ticketmaster is blocking my access to concert tickets b/c Java Script is not enabled. I have absolutely no idea what that is or how to fix the problem. I do use a VPN ( Private Internet Access). I have tried disabling it and nothing happens. I am not a techie but am so frustrated. I can't get to the tickets which require "mobile access." Thanks for any help. Guess I'm a laddie.

please restore the printing functions. I can only print one email at a time, I need to print several at the same time. The old print version had no problem and was much easier to use, this new print interface is terrable.

Also, there is no obvious way to step back to a previous version of Thunderbird. This lack of printing options has created a serious issue.

Ever since automatically upgrading to 91.2.0 when I save an email Thunderbird adds a lengthy string of data to the end of the filename which causes me great difficulty. Here is an example from an email from the NYTimes: "Today's Headlines Key to Biden’s Climate Agenda Likely to Be Cut Because of Manchin Opposition" is the filename. Thunderbird automatically adds the following to it. " - The New York Times (nytdirect@nytimes.com) - 2021-10-16 0101"

This information lengthens the filename which I have to delete because it messes up my archive where I save numerous emails. Therefore I have to delete it every time I save an email (60 or more times every day) and interferes with any search I conduct of those saved emails.

I have explored all the options under Tools and Help to no avail. Can you please tell me how I can get rid of this annoyance. It is causing me lost time in my daily work creating an archive of articles. I've been working on this archive for nearly 18 years and this problem is causing me a great deal of grief and lost work time. Thank you.

Thunderbird 91.1.0 not sending, no error msg, email in sent folder

Emails sent and were received until upgraded from previous to latest TB 78 version (on 9-13) from 78.13 to 78.14 I think(?). Nothing was changed before upgrade. Email … (funda kabanzi)

Emails sent and were received until upgraded from previous to latest TB 78 version (on 9-13) from 78.13 to 78.14 I think(?). Nothing was changed before upgrade. Email went to sent folder but not received and no error msg when sent. ISP Comcast, windows 10 pro. Smtp settings seem ok and could send before update. Receiving email worked. No issues sending from Comcast email on phone or Comcast web based email portal.

Then manually updated from latest 78 per above to 91.1.0 in hopes would fix issue. No change running TB in troubleshoot mode, disabling windows firewall or disabling windows built-in virus/threat protection.

UPDATE: Have 2 Comcast email addresses (i.e 2 accounts setup). Issue still occurs and don't receive anything when sending from "primary" account. If send from "secondary" account, emails are received? So what could be causing issue all of the sudden on one account and not other? The outgoing SMTP server settings are identical for the accounts in TB except for the "user name" (ie address) fields).

Would appreciate some help...

Messages not Showing body in Message pane

When opening my email, it shows that I have new emails. When I click on the messages, the message will continue showing "unread" and will not display in the message pane at the bottom. There is a link that says "Forward this conversation" but even that link does not work, nor do any of the buttons to reply, forward or delete. I can right click on the message, select "open message in new tab" and then I can read the message, reply, forward and so on. If I click on "open message in a new window" it comes up with a black white window with the "Forward this conversation" link that does not work. I also noticed that when I start a new message and attach a file, it no longer shows on the right side of the email in the box, it is now showing at the bottom of the message with a small icon. What is causing the message pane to not work? It has the latest version update installed, I have restarted and shut down all running programs, but nothing is working.

Can not login into my optonline.net account. Thunderbird has not let me sign in for several days. The message was: "Error with account vgimzelb@optonline.net. Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.online.net responded: Service temporarily unavailable." But I was able to use my password to log into my optimum account directly, and saw that until today, my incoming emails have been updated.

Please help me to resolve this issue. I might not get my email, so could you please also send a text message to my phone 201-926-3848. Thank you, VG.

For legal reasons, I need to retain a copy locally of all my messages since my mailhost was purchased by another company and they now limit us to 1 GB per email address. Previously I didn't worry about it as there were no limits on mail storage space. I've thoroughly gone through the article on synchronizing messages on the server with messages stored locally on my machine. I cannot get Thunderbird to behave the way it is described in the article. I've tried both checking the box to store all messages locally and the advanced method of selecting folders (and I select everything except spam and junk). The only thing stored locally is what was stored when I initially copied the Inbox (on the server) to Local. All of that synced properly Any changes such as new messages, messages moved to different folders, etc. do not appear in Local. I have tried closing and reopening Thunderbird in hopes that it will work like the article states, that Thunderbird will check the server for changes and save them locally. Alas, it does not.

Did I incorrectly set this up? Do I need to initiate some kind of copy of new or moved to another folder emails? Or something else? I'm reasonably software savvy but this one is eluding me. I am urgently looking for a solution since my mailhost is pressuring me to pay large sums to retain my emails. Thanks very much for any solutions or suggestions

Before the most recent update of Thunderbird (which must have happened over night--things were fine yesterday), my email program functioned normally. I could scroll up and down within the Inbox list, and also scroll up and down within individual emails. Now, I can't see any scroll bar in either place. If I click where it used to be, a very thin bar will briefly appear, and vanish again right away. That's all I get within in an individual email. If I close the window and open it again, I will get a fatter bar in the Inbox list, and I can use it once, until I switch to another function. If I want to scroll again, I have to close the window again to get the fatter scroll bar back, again for only one use, and only within the Inbox list, never within individual emails. This is very frustrating. If anyone can help me get my email functioning again, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you.
