"How can I optimize my search experience on Mozilla Firefox? Are there specific tips or features within the browser that enhance search efficiency? Seeking guidance on maximizing search capabilities for a smoother browsing experience.

This is Firefox-only behavior on iOS (16.x, btw), neither Chrome nor Safari suffer from this.

On my iPhone, links are set to open in apps if the app is installed. So if I open an Amazon-related link while browsing in Firefox, it will open that link in Amazon.

However, with Firefox, it opens a new tab "about:blank" when this redirect happens, which then seems to load the app.

With Chrome and Safari, clicking a link which has an app installed, simply redirects me to the app from the tab/page I'm browsing instead of opening a new one.

What is with this strange behavior with Firefox and is there a way to fix it?

I'm trying to add a new Google Gmail account I just recently created to my iOS 17 iPhone 13Pro Gmail app and it's telling me I need to use a browser that has JavaScript enabled. I'm using Firefox as my default browser. How do I enable JavaScript so that Google will let me add my new email account?

After using the latest version of firefox android, my favorite feature after searching on the google is "Open in App" or "Open links in App" is absent and not working properly like it used to be. Now I must copy-paste the title of the video from youtube site, manually from this browsers to the Youtube App (Native app). This feature should be on the 3-dots on the right corner, bellow "Find in page" and "Desktop site". Screenshots that I'm upload are when I open Youtube video and Telegram group after I'm searching from the browsers but CAN'T find "open in App", I want to opened it from my native app not from browser.

Woke up this morning and my stupid phone had updated to the new, awful, Firefox on Android: ‎ 119.0 (Build #2015980915), 367d60e851+ GV: 119.0-20231019122658 AS: 119.0

To my horror I was seeing images on webpages, totally ruining my browsing experience. The main reason I use firefox on Android is because it allows me to turn off media. I don't want to see any of that, almost always entirely irrelevant, distraction. Now I'm going to have to use Samsung internet and continually click reader mode. This is NOT about ad blocking, it is not about saving data. It is about drastically improving the browsing experience. Please reinstate blocking of all images and videos.

The Add To Home Screen option was present for quite some time but is now missing UNLESS you share from push-hold on a link. Individual pages no longer order the option to Add to Home Screen

Can I customize which links are opened externally on FF for android?

At present, it seems that I can only choose to have all links or no links opened by an external app.

Simplest might be to enable the user to configure a list of exceptions, which of the two possibilities is chosen:

A user who chooses to have all links open in apps should be able to specify a list of links which still open in firefox; and one who chooses to have none of them open in apps should be able to specify a set of links which nonetheless open in FF.

Please note that this question/request is identical to one called "Costumize which links opened externally on FF for android?" (Obviously that user meant "customize" and not "costumize.") Unfortunately that question is archived, and I could not just click "me too").

I can’t find the setting to turn off Autoplay of videos while browsing. I have pop ups turned off, but videos seem to detach and Autoplay.

Any articles or help I can find say to go into a settings and privacy section, which I can’t see.

...Desktop site option setting does not stick! After switching tabs for 5 mins, it changes back to mobile site view & I HAVE TO X out of tab, reopen it, & check desktop site again! You can't just reset the desktop site option on & off either, doesn't work. You MUST X out the tab & start all over. ...It's a real pia! In older versions it always worked, always defaulted even days later! However, NOT in the last few versions, why can't it still currently work now? It should! ...And god for bid you find any real support! And probably won't get it here either. ...."IS" there ANY real, live support around here? A developer email? Anything??? Hi, This is so frustrating, but this is the second time it happens for me (two different websites), so I'm kind of sure this is a bug. I go to "website settings" and block autoplay for audio and video on data, yet it autoplays them. Each time, I am forced to choose the option 'block autoplay' (regardless of whether I'm using data or WiFi), which successfully blocks them. At first, I thought it was just an accident, but turns out it's more likely a confirmed bug.

Hi, how do I turn off automatic email fill in the direction field of the the browser? Everytime I write the letter P it automatically fills my email (there are no options if I want to fill with email. It just writes it automatically.

Every time I try to access one of my courses online it tells me that I need to allow third-party pop up and I go onto the Settings andI alter the settings and is still not allowing the video to pop up

Until a few weeks ago I could open links in external apps , e.g. Wikipedia. But since some update this doesn't work anymore; the web page still opens in Firefox. The setting is set to "always".

Can anyone help?

Good afternoon, the complaint I have is when I make Firefox my default browser it doesn't stay and I've to continually change it back so when I clicking on a link instead of going to Firefox like I want it too it instead goes to my Samsung internet browser. I am using the Firefox Nightly version and when I click on links related to Instagram, YouTube or other applications, it takes me directly to the application.

But when I click on the my course link, it directs me directly to Microsoft's own site to download the application. (Microsoft Teams)

I tried this in other browsers, but they did not have such a problem. That's why I downloaded and tried other Firefox versions, but they also have the same problem...

I also disabled the extensions but the problem is the same.

So the problem is, while Firefox Nightly opens other sites in the application, it does not open it in the application when i click on this course link. What is the source of the problem?
