A few weeks ago, I started to get repeated messages from Firefox asking me to make Firefox my default browser. Firefox has been my default browser for years, and I have never made anything else my default browser. Anyway, I followed the prompts and re-selected Firefox as my default browser. A little while would go by (sometimes as little as a minute) and I would again get the prompts to select Firefox as my default browser. This append 20 or 30 times. And, every time it happened, all of my saved passwords disappeared, but would reappear when I re-selected Firefox. In the last week, this situation has gotten a lot worse. Now, the saved passwords don't come back. And, the prompt you usually get when entering passwords to a new site offering to save the password doesn't appear any more. So, the only way I can rebuild my saved passwords is to enter them manually, which I am not going to do because it would take a couple of hours and then I'm pretty sure they would all disappear again. Also, I like to go to my homepage when I open a new tab. Can't do that anymore. When I open a new tab, I get a new private browsing window. I have checked all my settings a dozen times, and they are correct. I have combed your support sites and there is nothing there to help me. I don't want to dump Firefox, but I cannot continue with it behaving as it does now. Is there anyone anywhere in your organization who can help me? Thank you.

After removing and reinstalling Firefox, all my bookmarks were automatically reloaded, = GOOD. But, none of my saved "Collections" got reloaded, = BAD. How can I recover them?

I accidentally hit something in Firefox that changed my language for directions to another language, so I cant see choices to delete my cache, history, etc.. Already made sure my language in settings is English. Thanks for your help.

I configured my account using the server's IMAP service. Every time I open Thunderbird, it asks me for the password of the calendar service of that IMAP service. But it doesn't have a calendar service. Even if it has, I don't want to use it.

I looked everywhere in the settings page, but could not find a way to disable it.

Why the app keeps asking me for the calendar service's password and how to disable it?

In my email files (left pane) I have an ARCHIVE file (the good one), but also a second one (the one I can't delete); please see image attached.

Note the second one has a grayed-out icon which is different from the good ones. How can I send that file off to OblivionWorld?

Hi, After updating to the latest version of Firefox on my laptop, I’ve noticed that the battery drains much faster than before. I haven’t changed any settings, but the browser seems to consume more power even with just a few tabs open.

I’ve already tried:

Restarting my laptop

Disabling unnecessary extensions

Clearing cache

But the issue is still there. Is there any specific setting or workaround to reduce battery usage in the new update?

I have created a new gmail address for my wife. Would like to add this address to my existing Thunderbird Mail account so that her emails also come to my Thunderbird email account. Not sure how to add her address to do this.. Thanks

I have the Thunderbird desktop installed on windows 10 computers that are blocked from any internet browsing. I am not able to find instructions on how to share calendars between computers.

I am able to export and import calendars between computers, but the events only show up in the side bar as tasks. We want to be able to edit the shared calendar from any computer.

thunderbird 140.8.1 will not run unless restart of mac mini ios15.7.4 sequoia. only runs once then will not run email again.

Can I back up to a previous version that did run or is there an issue?

I made a folder and called it April. One day the folder just disappeared. No one seems to help me recover the folder and i need it. Once I moved emails into that folder they are no longer available in my inbox. SO if you know how to recover my folder help, or if you know how to recover emails that were sent to a folder, that would work also. I use Windows 11 and I have the most recent release of Thunderbird. I use Charter.net as my isp which is pop. Thanks,Charles

All the icons in my Bookmark Toolbar have been working great with no errors for several years, through countless updates with no problem. Then, recently I noticed all the icons lost the color icons and just show as a wire globe. Clicking on them, any one of them, they all go to the same website. If I remove them, got to the website I want there, and drag the URL to the bookmark bar, things are back to normal for that icon. So I replaced each one, and the next day, when I open Firefox, all the icons are again wire globes. It seems that Firefox will not retain the URL for any of the icons.

Very strange.

As the title says, today I started getting the windows popup about selecting an app to open that file type, every time I download one.

Firefox opens with one empty tab. Forcing me to got to «history -> recently closed windows -> restore» everytime I quit Firefox or shutdown the mac.

Fresh migration from Win 11 to Mac. tabs, passwords, bookmarks, plugins migrated from win to mac. Attachments:

I routinely keep a tab open to view my iCloud account (PC running Windows 11 Home).

Everything has worked just fine in the past. Here are the basics using Edge... -The home page displays like the first attachment. -Clicking an icon takes me to the calendar page (see the Edge screenshot in the second attachment) -Clicking the word, 'iCloud' (see yellow arrow in second attachment) returns me to the home page.

But now, using Firefox, if I click the calendar icon (or any other) the calendar return link and Calendar page title are superimposed over one another and the return link does not work. -Check out the yellow arrow in the third attachment -If I click the iCloud/Calendar mishmash I get nothing. If I click left arrow or Back I get nothing.

Note that this still works fine with Edge but does not work with Firefox. Have tried clearing Firefox cache (no change) but don't know what else to try.

Any ideas?

I already changed the password but I’d be glad to know if there is anything I could do or anything you could tell me about the person who entered my Firefox, the person is apparently from Russia, I’ll attach the image below.

Firefox guidance says the reader view button should be in the address bar. This seems to have been replaced with an ai feature that is not a replacement for reader. No other menu seems to have a reader view option either. Please help as this feature was critical for making webpages accessible.
