Firefox automatically upgraded itself to version 41 and now the Trusteer Rapport Endpoint Protection icon is no longer shown to the right of the address bar. It is still there and working in Internet Explorer. The same situation is happening on 2 PCs, both Windows 7 64 bit.

Surely Trusteer Rapport is a widely used feature - one would have thought a new release of Firefox would have been tested to work with it.

About an hour ago I noticed that the option to "ask me every time" on cookies, regarding privacy, was gone! All that's there, now is always or never. So, I uninstalled Firefox and then installed it, again, but it didn't help. That selection was still gone. I've always used this feature, and now I am very concerned. What happened? How can I get this feature back?

Firefox used to remember my bank password, but it does not any longer. After downloading the update to version 23.0.1 today, the remember password feature appeared broken.

I tried many things and eventually got passwords working on other sites, but not my bank. I deleted the saved password from the password manager in an attempt to try and get the Remember Password prompt to show up again, but it didn't work. I checked in Exceptions and it's completely empty, so that's not it. I also tried using the bookmarklet for fixing autocomplete on sites that it's disabled and my bank doesn't appear to disable it.

I've spent an hour and a half researching this and trying everything I could but I am at a loss. This computers main user is an elderly man so having the bank remember the password is a MUST.

This is on a new Nexus 5 phone. I tried using the supplied Chrome browser and was disappointed to find that clearing the cache (through Chrome or Android settings/apps), did not work. Old visited websites and tabs were still present upon re-starting. I just installed Firefox and it has the same problem. I have no bookmarks stored. Is there a solution to this?

With the terrible issues recently with Flash 12, I opted to use the extended support version of Flash 11.7r700.

The plugin checker page, however, shows that my flash is supposedly "vulnerable" but it is most definitely not (it's the latest updated version offered by adobe in their extended support cycle for corporate use)

You need to provide an option to just quit blocking Adobe flash for all sites, period, regardless of what YOU think.

I use half a dozen computers occasionally. It is not feasible to run hours of updates on all of them. Most of them are unusable with auto updates turned on. Adobe goes out of date weekly. There is no excuse for this. Either provide an option to disregard the date of the Adobe Flash, or I will dump Firefox and go to something else. The synchronized bookmarks are useful in my situation, but I can use Chrome, and it does NOT have this stubborn problem.

Everyone knows malware always comes through java scripts. So why did you remove the option to turn it off ? Why the false saftey excuse? (duckspeak) This makes no sense. Alot of people also get errors and have slower speed with some pages so they disable it. I understand there is plugins available to block scripts but they never work 100%. It just really really seems strange that a browser that was built on the idea of safety, security and trust has now suddenly removed a item that makes users less safe, Under the guise of safety. (doublespeak)

I will no longer use Firefox ever again unless you put this option back.

PROBLEM 1: I do not understand why after every few days all my sessions suddenly gets expired. My firefox is set to open all tabs where i left off and most of them had sessions. If it was one session that was expiring then i could have thought that it must be that website's issue but all sessions on open tabs expires at once.

PROBLEM 2:

In case there is a version upgrade or a browser crash ... all save passwords are gone. I cant get them back even with account sync.

-- I have never seen any "old firefox" name folder on desktop ever in my entire life. -- I am not using any extension. -- I am using default theme.

These 2 issues have been irritating me for years now I am really really pissed off .. whats the use of even saving the passwords when one has to lose them one day suddenly.

I've set up 3 email accounts on Thunderbird on a single computer.

I've set up 2 of them with each other's keys to send and receive encrypted emails.

However, the third email account has no key at all but can still read encrypted emails by pressing the "Repair Message" button.

Thunderbird won't let you encrypt a message unless at least one of the recipients of an email has a key. However, if another recipient doesn't have a key, that recipient will still receive the encrypted message but can open it as explained above.

Have I done something wrong? I thought the receiver without the key should not be able to open the encrypted email. If they can open it, does that mean anyone at any hop along the path of the email can open it?

TIA John

I have been using Thunderbird for ten years on more than ten different computers, presently using it on two Win7 and three Win10 64bit. everything updated. I have ten gmail accounts, two of which use 2-step verification. These two gmail accounts can no longer be connected to TB.

GMail My Account section Lists Thunderbird as a linked app "Apps connected to your account"

Google's "less secure apps" section either no longer exists or it is difficult to find.

https://myaccount.google.com/security guided me to generate an "app password" which I did No use. The special password does not work with Thunderbird, or additional information (not apparent) is required to make it work.

Please help.
