Every time you send something new for me to download, what you send NEVER EVER connects to the server, even if I let it stay active all night long.
I've said it ALL in my original statement.
Either YOU cannot connect to the server to which you must connect, or something is wrong on MY END.
I don't have a lot of time. Please look into this and either fix it or tell me what to do to fix it.
Thank you.

hello john, i think don't really understand the first part of your question. firefox should have no life of its own and not initiate downloads by itself - it should only perform commands and browse to sites that you specifically want to open. otherwise it might be an issue with a a malicious addon.
please try to reset firefox and Update Firefox to the latest release afterwards and see if this changes something...
If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then best is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox application and save the disk image file to the desktop
- Firefox 26.0: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
- Trash the current Firefox application (open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re-)install
- Install the new version that you have downloaded

Your personal data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data when you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.
