You mean the Dialog box asking for Proxy's username & password?

Try this:

1. Open "about:config" in Firefox
2. Accept and Continue
3. Search for "autologin"
4. Double click on the "signon.autologin.proxy" to toggle it's value ( set to true )

Firefox will cache the username and password and as long as the cached ones are correct, it won't ask you for username or password.

In fact, I already set is as "true" but the error message still pop up.

Do you still have any suggestion to solve this problem?

Check the connection settings.

• Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

Cor-el, I have to use proxy network in order to connect. The issue of "Authentication Required" is not because of proxy setting.

Cor-el, in fact, I already read the above links before. And I even followed the instructions as stated. But, the error message still pop up.

Hi everyone, I had the same problem.

I also use proxy to connect to internet. I also set value for "signon.autologin.proxy" to true and authentication stopped to pop-up for a while. But after a while it began to pop up again. Cor-el gave me an idea and I looked in Tools > Options > Advanced > Network : Connection > Settings and saw that I set Use system proxy settings, so I changed to Manual proxy configuration and entered my proxy and it stopped to pop-up. :) Interesting thing is that I toggled back value for "signon.autologin.proxy" to false just to chek it and pop-up authentication also didn't appeared.
