latest version installed 3 times but not the version I get
I have installed the latest version of Firefox to my computer 3 times. The About says I have it. The start page says I do not. The version I see before me does not resemble what is on the tour of the latest version. When I did Search for Firefox 22 files were found, some of which from 2006. I would like to arrange it so that I only have the latest version. Can that be done automatically or do I have to remove the older versions manually? Will removing them affect my access to the latest version? I am using Windows XP on a laptop computer with broadband connection. Thank you for helping.

hello EdReff, this sounds as if you have set google.com/firefox as your default homepage - this site is now deprecated and will show the message about an outdated browser-version no matter which browser you use to access it.
the default firefox homepage in current versions is about:home, you can restore that in the options menu: How to set the home page
