Firefox started telling me that I needed Adobe Flash to play videos, despite the fact that I have the latest version installed. I followed the instructions to install five times, yet still kept getting the same message. I then reset Firefox and it worked for about half an hour then I got the same message. In desperation I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but am still getting the same message. I am using Windows 7 64 bit, version 24.0 of Firefox and version 11.9.900.117 of Adobe Flash. I have no problems with Internet Explorer or Chrome.

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks, John Wafford.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

IE uses the ActiveX version of Flash. Chrome comes with its' own version of Flash. Firefox needs the Plugin version of Flash, so you will need to install that version.

Many thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I've tried that several times with no joy.

I've managed to find the answer from Adobe. For some reason, Shockwave Flash was disabled, even though I hadn't disabled it. Everything seems to be OK now. Many thanks.
