My pc keeps trying to load www.2vä°z©ãpÁŸ9e,.com. when using firefox in a new tab. Using IE this does not happen?
This site tries to start up every time I start Firefox either in a new page or new tab, clicking on new links or details with a web page will start this false web site. During a normal day I could have an additional 100 pages open of useless sites using the same web address. I have tried various spy hunters and internet anti virus devices and all to no avail. But if I use IE the problem is not evident or at the very least does not start. There is no way (so far) that I can add this bogus site into the blocked sites section, can you tell me how I can do this in an effort to stop this dubious site from starting.
I have tried resetting Firefox back to defaults and loaded the latest version all to no avail.
Thanks and regards

I am guessing this is malware or adware of some sort. Ty scanning with multiple and up-to-date tools
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
- AdwCleaner: (for adware)
- Kaspersky Free security scan
You need to use multiple and up-to-date tools as they will not all pick up the same things.
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good FREE permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
