Out of nowhere my page up button now acts like a back button and my page down button does nothing. I am using an ASUS laptop and have had it for 3 years and never had this issue before today.

You can try to set the ui.elantech_gesture_hacks.enabled pref to 0 on the about:config page

You may be experiencing one of these bugs:
