How do I open a nightly file as Excel? It used to be excel until I accidentally clicked open as Nightly and now I can't convert it back.
I tried opening an Excel file but chose to open it as Nightly. Now the icon for the file shows it as Nightly but won't open my file.

Is the problem with a file you are downloading, or a file already saved on your computer? Does the file have the .xls or .xlsx or .csv extension, or something else?
(1) To change how Firefox handles a download, you can edit your preference here:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Applications
If you find any entries for Excel or Comma-separated or CSV, you can use the drop-down list on the right to re-associate the download with Excel, or ask you every time.
(2) To change how Windows launches a document, I am familiar with where that is in Windows 7; yours may be similar.
If you open the control panel to Programs > Default Programs > Make a file always open in a specific program, you can find the file extension of the files that have the problem, select that line, then change the program.
