I unintentionally downloaded I can't get rid of it. I have looked in my extensions list. It is not there. It also does not show up when I go to "uninstall". Nothing by that name or conduit is listed.

I have Windows 8. Also, I said in my question that I had already gone to the uninstall list and is not there nor is anything by Conduit.

This is the only solution that really works, to get rid of in your search. This does not relate to removal of the the toolbar or add-ons, which is performed easily through Tools....

Go to

and download searchreset.

Very simple and effective!!

Uninstalling mixi dj doesn't get rid of it completely because it has already set itself up as your default browser.

You need to go to Tools and reset your default browser. I did this and so far, no problems.
