Did you create a new profile?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, passwords, cookies, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).

You can recover more data from the old profile (be cautious with doing that).

Alright; let me check to see if I get this straight:

Your browser got hacked. You uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. Now, you are unable to use add-ons or customize Firefox in any way. Correct?

If it is, try this: from the Firefox Menu (the orange button in the top-left corner that says "Firefox"), follow these steps: Help>Troubleshooting Information> Reset Firefox. See if that works for you. Let me know if you need more help!
