Hi, when i use the Hyper link in Mozilla the wrong email address opens - it is an old no longer used one. How can i adjust this so it opens with my new email address. I am unsure whether this is a fire fox or Thunderbird issue but the hyper-link is in Mozilla Firefox. thanks

Try to reset mail prefs on the about:config page.

  • Open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for mail via the Search bar at the top of the about:config page.
  • Reset all mail related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.

What is the Mailto application as set in Tools > Options > Applications?

You can also try to delete the mimeTypes.rdf file in the Firefox Profile Folder to reset all file actions.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
