Glims download and install for safari, then Firefox header gone, superimposed on tabs. How to revert to normal, please?
When I installed an updated version of Glims for Safari, I lost the topmost header bar on firefox, the contents of which are superimposed on the tabs at the top. I also lost the accurate indexing on the tabs and close tab "x" where I have to now find where it highlights it below it to click on the "x". Further the right click rectangles are borderless and strange looking, though they still work. I haven't a clue as to how this happened or how to correct it as I've been through all the header menus multiple times and no change.

Thank you... BUT either the tab bar is on top of the Title bar at the top (the one with the Mozilla Firefox name and the three buttons "x", "-", "+") or the Title bar is superimposed on the Navigation Bar... The incorrect calibration or indexing of the pointer and tab closing "x" is still a problem - where it normally highlights the "x" when mousing over, now it happens when below or somewhere other than on the "x". Similarly, to choose a tab the pointer has to be below the centre of the tab.... so it is slightly off-putting. Sorry. But this has nothing to do with the normal dispersal of toolbars on the page.
Go to about:config find browser.tabs.onTop and double-click on it to make it false, now probably the problem is solved but your tabs is at the bottom as older version of firefox.

The title bar, heading bar, whatever with the "x", "-", "+" on the side, is now superimposed on top of the address bar. this is far less of a problem, but still a bit annoying. Can we do anything to get the title, header, or whatever bar it is back up on top, again, please? I don't know why it is lying on top of the navigation bar, but it is. Can I correct this somehow, please? And I do appreciate moving my tabs - thanks. Also, I can' access the back or forward buttons on the navigation bar and other controls thereon as the "x", "-", "+" controls are on top of them. So, what now, please?

can you disable the Glims plugin in safari to see if the firefox return to normal ?

I uninstalled the Glims plug in, restarted Firefox, but the problem is still there. Earlier I installed a new version of Firefox and this didn't eliminate the problem, either.
Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist)
You can also check for problems with the localstore.rdf file.
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
Okay, I trashed the .plist file... no change.
I re-named the localstore.rdf file and re-started... no change.
Any more suggestions, please? Can you see the problem with the screen shots? The title header is superimposed, still, on top of the navigation bar. i have no idea what caused this, now, as Glims has been eliminated, de-installed everything re-started and it is still here. Shall I download a new version 16? I did that before doing all this and there was no effect.

Checking the console log, I had a problem with retained bits of the glims software, but I got rid of that and rebooted and while that stopped the Glims problem, the title bar or header is still superimposed on the navigational toolbar. The following are firefox messages in the console log recently:
