In the last hour I had my firefox browser open. I was on my ebay page as I watched TV. I closed the browser, and then opened it up again 30 seconds later to check something. When It opened up to Google homepage a pop up opened up that I've never seen before opened. It reads:

Authentication Required Enter username and password for http://js.browseforchange.com Username: Password: Use Password Manager to Remember this Password.

I didn't download, install or change anything recently. I click the cancel button each time it appears, but it comes back. It pops up every time I open my browser, open a new tab or try to go to a new web address. It freezes my browser until I click cancel (no choice). I google searched and searched in the Firefox website for a solution with no topic matches. Can someone tell me what's happening, what http://js.browseforchange.com is or what I can do to get rid of it? Thank you.

js.browseforchange.com is ran from an browser extension. To uninstall it you just need to go to tools/addons and click extensions and tell it to remove the browseforchange extension. I have no idea how it gets installed as my sis had it on her PC this morning and all she did was turn the PC on and open Mozilla up and there was the log in dialog box.

Go to Control Panel > Uninstall Programs > after the list populates, uninstall browse for change. I don't know how I got this either I just found it this morning. I wonder if it has anything to do with election day. Who knows.
