If you have checked for updates here:

Help > About Firefox

then you have the current version. If you are interested in trying a beta test version, that is available as a direct download.

The current release is always the best choice for normal (non-testing) users.
The will always be a next Firefox version that is currently under testing and that will become the release when it is considered ready.
There are three other version available for testing purposes by experienced people that know how to deal with possible bugs.
If you are not in that category then best is to stay with the current release (Firefox 16.0.1).
