It's too easy to misunderstand but it seems that a Firefox Tab is merely like any browser tab except in Firefox, the tabs are cleaner with icons plus name of the page open. The options to select tab operations are found from the Firefox Toolbar 'Tools' drop down menu with 'Options' displaying everything from 'General', 'Tabs', 'Content', 'Applications', 'Privacy', 'Security', 'Sync' to 'Advanced'. Scout around & let us know if yer still havin trouble with tab options!

Gobbledegook! as most such communications proferred as "Help" by Firefox seem to be. What does "Easy to misunderstand.... but it seems meant convey..."" DEFIN E a Firefox tab for me. I'm sure I'll not misunderstand if someone would tell me.

Quaere, you might have all of those degrees and languages that you read/write/speak but you are unlikely to get much help by responding the way you have to those offering replies. What is it that you do NOT understand? Did you look at the screenshot that was posted by the first reply?

When you view a web page, it can only be seen in a Tab and the Tab that you are using is shown at the top of your screen. By using the arrow keys you can also view pages that you have seen before, and then move forward. You can choose to open additional Tabs, which most find to be a great convenience and this new Tab is shown next to the original one and has its own page view "history" that you can move through with the arrow keys.

You don't need a degree in physics. Do some experimenting and observe what is happening right in front of you and then you can define it for yourself. For most people it is not really very complicated or esoteric. Good luck and enjoy your browsing.

You should hire a first-class technical writer to create and maintain a good library. Such a person should be able to answer my query competently and quickly. The amateur approach to providing firefox's tech info won't work; the examples I've looked at are mostly bewildering and maddening.
