YouTube error occured, try again later Windows Vista June 10 2012

Today, June 10, 2012, I was asked to update Adobe Flash player, which I did. I was also asked to update Real Player, which I did. I had also updated Firefox before that.

Now, whenever I try to watch a video on Youtube, I get the message: An error occurred. Try again later.

I am using a Dell Inspiron laptop with Vista home basic.

Do the actual developers of Firefox eventually solve this problem? This is the first time I ever tried this forum and I'm not a technical person. I am wondering how the problems get fixed when many people have the same problem, and about how long does it take? Does anybody ever get an answer by email? I am still talking about the problem with Firefox 13 in which there is an error message on YouTube: "An error occurred. Please try again later." June 10, 2012

Try to disable protected mode in the Flash player.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Thank you, but I am not a technical person. I did try turning off the firewall and restarting the computer. Nothing changed. Is there any chance that Firefox will fix the problem? If not, will I have to take my labtop to a shop? I don't live in the United States.

Do you work for Firefox? I am not a technical person. I tried all your alternatives. If somebody can't help fix the problem, do I have to take my laptop to a shop? I don't live in the U.S. YouTube reports en error and asks to try again later. This started on June 10, 2012 after updating Flash player and Real Player. Please tell me if I have to take the computer to a shop. I live in Buenos Aires. Thank you.

I have the same problem and it's not just with youtube, but with soundcloud, and other sites. Seems there is a problem between Firefox and Flash, and I don't really want to disable anything because I'm not skilled enough to fix it, or know when it can be enabled again. Is Firefox doing anything to fix this problem?

There is no problem with shockwave flash 11.2 plugin. It must due to Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257.

Either Firefox 13.0 do not support Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257 or Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257 do not support Firefox 13.0.

Please fix this problem ASAP!

There is no problem with shockwave flash 11.2 plugin. It must due to Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257. Either Firefox 13.0 do not support Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257 or Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.257 do not support Firefox 13.0. Please fix this problem ASAP!

So why can't Adobe Flash send a corrected update? The protection mode was put there for a reason, so disabling it would be foolish. They should give us a link to the previous version then, before they "fixed" it.

Thank you for letting me know that it would be better to wait and see if Adobe Flash or Firefox sends another update to fix the problem. YouTube will have to wait. Hope there are no other problems involved. Too much is at stake on my computer to go muddling around without a clue about what I'm doing. Patience is best and eventually when I have time I can take the laptop to a shop.

You can always use Chrome or IE for viewing youtube. I just hope Firefox or Adobe Flash sends an update quickly. I detest IE and am not that keen on Chrome either. Come on Firefox, help us out please. :)

I have found this problem in just the last 24 hours. It's pretty pandemic in that I get the same "error occurred try again later" message on ALL videos, every where. I don't know the cure, but I MAY have the cause.

I am running Win 7 X64 on a HP Envy laptop. When I got the error, I uninstalled ALL my Adobe items (Air, Shockwave, Player, Reader, etc.) and REINSTALLED them with latest versions. I also, as suggested elsewhere, disabled Real Player extension. No joy. I tried Safe Mode, no good.

Now there have been, to my knowledge, no recent updates to Firefox (version 12.0) and any of the Adobe software. However, I do know, that there WAS a series of updates from Windows in the past 48 hours or so, called "security updates" and updates for NET Framework 4.0! I STRONGLY suspect that the cause for these error messages everyone is getting lies somewhere in those most recent 25 updates from Windows (From June 12 to now). Anyone have any ideas as to fixes or work arounds? My full diagnostic data is attached.

So far what has NOT worked:

    Updating all Adobe
    Disabling Real Player
    Safe mode

Anything else?

Firefox 13.0 was released on June 5th - Adobe Flash 11.3 was released on June 8th (from what I have seen posted here) - RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin was blocklisted today June 14th and should be disabled now

I've pretty much ruled out FF, Real, and Adobe. That leaves YouTube and Windows. I suspects it's one of the recent Windows "Security" or "Net Framwork" updates that came down in the last week or so are the culprits. For now, it's just a report issue and wait and see if the big wig techs at FF, Microsoft, Adobe &/0r YouTube can come up with a fix. Just a waiting game now.'bold text'

I don't want to disable RealPlayer as I use it to download youtube videos. Why can't they just fix the damned thing. I am tempted to load an older version of Firefox just to get rid of this. The problem started for me when Adobe sent an update and I loaded that. Please, Adobe and Firefox and RealPlayer... fix this glitch asap!
