Problems with yahoo bablefish site

For the past few months (about the time of firefox 9), the yahoo bablefish site does not work correctly in Firefox. When trying to translate non-latin characters, Firefox returns the results as html character codes, rather than the actual characters themselves. Babelfish works as it always has with Google Chrome and Internet Explorer. In my case, I am trying to translate Russian to English, and the problem is with the Cyrillic characters. I have searched Google about this problem, and I have read reports of others having the same issues with Chinese and Japanese characters. I thought maybe this was a small bug that would be fixed, but now we're up to version 11 of FF, and this is still an issue. Does anybody have any ideas why this is only a problem in Firefox?

Note: This is not a computer specific problem. This happens on all computers and different operating systems.
