I use Firefox 13.0.1. After troubleshooting, I found the blocking extension was Ghostery 2.7.2. When I disabled it, a previous cookie automatically logged me in.
I prefer having Ghostery on than being logged into cNet. ;)
I do not have a Cnet account, so I can not help you with specifics. You may be able to disable an item in Ghostery or add something to the Ghostery > Options> "Site Whitelist".
You may want to post on the Ghostery forum or send a support e-mail for assistance in your specific case. Always look on the specific Add-on page for a home page or support site for the particular Add-on -- several links are listed on the Ghostery Add-on page ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/ ); they are listed in the right margin.
- Ghostery home page --> http://www.ghostery.com/ (note "Support" in the choices at the top of the page)
- Forum --> http://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery (clicking "Support" at the top of the Ghostery home page will take you there)
- Support e-mail --> info@ghostery.com and/or support@ghostery.com (also shown on the Ghostery Opttions > About Ghostery pop-up)
