I just want to know if I should be able to see my installed add-ons / extensions when I start firefox in safe-mode. Will I or won't I...?

Thanks

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to do a compatibility check or see if there is a compatibility update available.

Yes. Only the extensions are disabled. You still see them all on the Tools > Add-ons > Extensions page.

What kind of problems do you have?

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

Hi,

I don't see my extensions since I have upgraded my firefox to version 9.0.1 on Linux. Even add-ons are enabled and active, or I start firefox normally or in safe-mode.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

I have done this, but it did not change the showing of my extensions. Or are they removed now alltogether..??? The firefox behavior is now different, toolbars are now different, add-ons are not running...

And I cannot 'get' add-ons as firefox seem to load for a very long time.

I guess I will have to try to downgrade my firefox installation to version 8.

Any other idea?

Hi,

I just re-installed firefox 8 and everything works as normal. All the extensions are back. So there is definitively a bug in version 9.0.1!!!
