I used to have, when a single tab was open a + sign that opened a new balank tab. Where did it go?
I think it went missing with ver. 8. It was really useful if I wanted to search for info.

To solve this issue,
1) Right click on the tabs
2) Select "Customize"
3) Click on "Restore Default Set"
The "Open New Tab" button should re appear now.

Look if you have it in customize toolbar to drug it to your toolbar.

Nope! That's not one of the options. I do get the + when I have 2 or more tabs open.

Thanks. Found the answer myself. In the Tools - Options - Tabs menu the Always show the tab bar option wasn't checked.
