upgraded to firefox 8 after that any url i enter into the address bar won't work.like there is no active link or address to go to.dead address bar.also i find my saved history links won't work.
windows xp pro.Does this mean my files are corrupted?so even if i wanted to go back the older version of firefox my history will be bad?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thanks for the help. it turned out to be a ask toolbar Ext that was causing the problem. Don't you just love when apps add on stuff you don't want.Thanks again.
