FF pop-up on my home page to upgrade but does not tell me what it's for and won't go away????

I'm getting a continual pop-up from F.F. asking me to approve or not, a software upgrade. it won't tell me what the upgrade is, and I won't put it on my machine until I know.

I'm not really trusting FF anymore cause the 6.0.1 upgrade really messed up my machine. We need to know in advance what FF is doing before we allow it on our machines or i'm changing to a different browser altogether...
