is there a way to save the browser config. so i can try the updated version & revert to the older if i decide without having to redo all the pref.settings/addons/plugins etc... (or is there a "config" file i can copy? where would it be located?) thx for ur time & replies Ray

Of you want to try the newer version, install Firefox Portable 6.0.2 to your hard drive. It won't affect your current Firefox installation or preferences.

If you want to backup your preferences, you have to look in a hidden folder in your profile for prefs.js

In windows try ->Documents and Settings -> Mozilla -> Firefox -> Profiles

copy this to your backup location or a USB memory device if you want to put it into a different computer
