Is there a difference between any of the Firefox settings in a normal boot as opposed to a boot in safe mode with networking?

I am trying to isolate an issue where I cannot load one particular web page - my local newspaper. The page heading comes up but none of the articles. In a normal Boot this happens - if I start in Safe Mode with Networking the page is normal and loads correctly. I was wondering if any part of Firefox is disabled during a Safe Mode boot which could be causing this issue. The website is
