Ok, so this just recently started: I try adding new bookmarks, and they don't show up. They aren't deleted b/c when I open them from the history section, I see the little star highlighted (the one in the URL bar). Further more when I do the "bookmark all tabs..." button (a feature conveniently left out of Firefox 4+) the bookmarks show up in their own folder. I have tried doing it one bookmark at a time, putting them in different categories, everything within firefox 3.6.14. I even downloaded Firefox 4, updated to firefox 3.6.17, downgraded to firefox 3.6.11, and nothing seems to work. The help section was unhelpful in this regards. I also tried deleting older bookmarks to try and make room, still the individual bookmarks I create are never seen. I downloaded the latest updates for windows 7, and after I did that, that is when I noticed this problem. Trouble is, that if I don't do these updates the computer will slow down dramatically until the new updates are applied. Any ideas anyone on how to fix this possible compatibility issue?

Edit: The bookmark shows up on the organize bookmark section, but not the drop-down menu.
