I have FF4 and the "awesome" bar isn't there. There is also no "refresh" button, and the back & forward buttons don't work.. Please HELP!

On my Dell Studio laptop, FF4 was installed, but the "awesome bar" is not visible, and there is no "refresh" button for any page. Also, I do not have any way of going back a page, or page forward. Those buttons on top-left are grey-ed out. I'm forced to re-input URLs each time I want to refresh any page, and if I've explored any site past the opening screen, I must re-input the URL and hopefully remember how I got there.
