WTF Firefox 4 auto reverted to 3.6.16!!!???
Just now I logged on and fired up FireFox, I immediately got a mozilla update UAC notification. I hesitated as I had just installed Firefox 4 a few days ago (and lets be honest these thick and fast updates can be pretty furiously problematic) but then I thought can't stay an isolationist and it must be pretty important to have an update this soon... so I OK'd it but then Lo and Behold it took me to a page saying I had been "upgraded to 3.6.16 and recommended I download Firefox 4 WTF.
Things must be pretty messed up down there at Mozilla HQ maybe they lost the spark? maybe its time to move on to you know who?

That is messed up. Just an idea, but maybe you had 3.6 still installed and didn't realize it. Just installing 4.0 won't necessarily uninstall 3.6. For one thing, it's possible to use both versions (for testing compatibility, for instance) if you use separate profiles.
Check around on your system to see if you actually have both 3.6 and 4.0 installed, and get rid of 3.6 if you don't want it anymore. Just make sure you don't delete your existing profile if you want to keep the data in it (like your bookmarks, history, saved passwords, etc.). Removing the software shouldn't do that, but make sure.
