I have a Alienware M17 R2 with:

Windows 7 x64 i820 CPU 5870 x2 CF 4Gig RAM

I was at FF v3.6 when I received the notices that there was a new version so I installed it. I noticed that my GPU fans speed is now running HIGH (the M17 fans are pretty loud) and the GPU utilization has gone up drastically. I understand that v4 has "visual improvements", but is there REALLY a reason to increase the load on the GPU??

Wondering if anyone else has this issue.

Disable Use hardware acceleration when available in Tools > Options > Advanced - General -- Browsing.
