It is located in the Customize toolbars dialog. To get to the dialog, right click anywhere on the top toolbar and select Customize.. Find the Adblock icon and drag it to any toolbar. Hope that helps!
I followed these directions but there is no Adblock icon there. I am using Firefox v. 12
Do you have Adblock installed? It isn't a standard part of Firefox.
I don't know if it is installed or not. I was watching Hulu.com and started having a problem. I got a message telling me to unblock them on AdBlock and how to do it on Firefox. That is why I started looking for it. Thanks for your prompt response, BTW.
You can view your add-ons here:
(WIN) orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons
(MAC) Tools > Add-ons
AdBlock, if you have it, would be in the Extensions category.
If you don't have that one, do you have any other add-ons that modify of filter pages as you browse? (Security toolbars might be an example.)

By the way, if you are having problems with various video sites, it could be related to the latest release of the Flash player plugin. In that case, check out this article: Flash 11.3 doesn't load video in Firefox.
Try to clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
