Right-click on a tab menu doesn't offer "new tab" choice.
In the last version I was using, I could right-click on a tab and select "open new tab." It looks like it's gone in 4. How I can enable it?

There should be a new tab button (marked +) on the tab bar. If you do not see it then check the toolbar palette via View > Toolbars > Customize and drag the new tab button on the tab bar or another toolbar.
There is a +. I think there was a + at the far right of the last version, too.
But I don't use the +, I use the right-click. Especially if I'm on a tab at the left of the screen, then I can open a new tab next to the current one without going to the right hand of the screen to hit the +.
Is there a way to turn it back on?
I agree, I already submitted a "firefox made me sad because" report on this feature/lack of.
We need it back!
Thanks!
Look for an extension that restores that Context menu item. I doubt if Mozilla is going to change and put that item back.
Except for that whole part where the first release candidate INCLUDES the right click on existing tab, open in new tab feature! THANK YOU FIREFOX!
This may not be the kind of solution you want but the "Tab Utilities" add-on will put the right-click 'New Tab' option back.

This add-on gives options to a lot of other stuff that I don't want/use, but it solves this problem.
Nice one...thanks.
Yes, really want this back - it's my default action for opening a new tab - never use the plus button!
Agreed. I keep right clicking for new tab and just reloading. This is annoying. I don't use the +. When I have a ton of tabs open, it's easier to just right click anywhere on the bar to open one rather than move my mouse to the right for the + sign.
I found that the 'Tab Mix Plus' add-on did exactly what I wanted. I now have my right-click New Tab back:

It seems "Tab Mix Plus" disrupts the configuration for "browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent." Any other solutions to this minor problem? It shouldn't be too hard to add that to the right click menu, right?
Tab Mix Plus has a lot of settings for features and I wouldn't wonder if it uses its own prefs for the browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent feature. I'm not using TMP so can't check that.
I just hope Firefox at least continues to maintain the "ctrl v" shortcut.. .
