THe sync key supplied to me by firefox does not match account when I tried to reload firefox.

I needed to reload my firefox browser. I was using sync before and I wanted to use it to reload my bookmarks ...etc... I loaded the add-on, ran setup, entered my account name and password, set up then requested sync key. I saved the html when i recieved origional key. sync setup tells me it is wrong key... i can change sync key but I lose all info in my account.. what to do?
