I have an issue with Firefox because it doesn't work when other browsers do. I have tried literally everything in the troubleshooting areas for exactly what I just said above, from configuring proxies to creating new profiles to malware to firewalls to connection issues. None of it has helped. It still says "Server not found."

I need someone who can help me think of other things it might be that aren't mentioned online. It really slows down my computer to run Internet Explorer and Mozilla has always been good to me, so I want to get to the root of this problem quickly.

As I already mentioned, I have read everything related to troubleshooting this problem on the Mozilla Support site, have tried everything and it hasn't worked.

Which Firewall are you using?

Are you sure that you don't have more than one Firewall installed?

I am not using any subscribed Antivirus programs, but I double-checked to see if any firewalls were up. It said that there were no firewalls affecting my internet connection with Firefox (according to the instructions that it says online with Mozzila Support).

I have an expired subscription to Norton 2006, whose "Personal firewall" is on, but I changed it to off and nothing changed with Firefox.

Other than that, I have free downloaded versions of Trend Micro and Webroot Spy Sweeper antivirus programs, but my computer also indicated that their firewalls should not be affecting my ability to connect to the internet with the Firefox browser.

Further proof of this is that I have always had these on my computer, and until just recently did I not have access to the internet via Firefox.

However, I am willing to try to turn off these firewalls if necessary. How would you recommend I do that?
